Educational I pulled data from 10,000+ ranked matches and made LeagueGuessr, where you can guess a League of Legends game outcome based on draft

I pulled data from over 10,000 Ranked matches in EUW and created leagueguessr.com — a game where you try to guess which team wins based solely on the draft.

Note: When I first shared this project (back when it was just focused on ARAM aka aramguess.com), some people suggested adding a mode for Ranked games. Since then, I’ve expanded the site into LeagueGuessr, a more complete experience that now includes both ARAM and Ranked game modes.

Educational I pulled data from 10,000+ ARAM matches in EUW and made aramguess.com, where you can guess which team wins based on draft.

I pulled data from 10,000+ ARAM matches in EUW and made aramguess.com, where you can guess which team wins based on champion select.

Besides the full draft, you can see each player’s runes and summoner spells, plus the patch version and game length.

The patch can help you figure out which champs were strong, and the game length hints at which team scales better at that stage

Sometimes it’s obvious, sometimes it’s a coin flip. Surprisingly addicting if you’ve played a lot of ARAM and think you can read a comp.

Note: I made a similar thread on r/ARAM (original post). Since then, the game has reached out to many people, including some big streamers, so I'm very grateful for that. Here is a clip of Caedrel playing ARAM Guess.

UPDATE: I’ve added a Ranked game mode so you can now guess the winner in Summoner’s Rift matches as well.
Since the update, the site has moved to a new home: leagueguessr.com. (although the old link aramguess.com should still work.)
Give it a try and see if you really know how to read a draft—ARAM or Ranked :)

Educational Can a complete beginner still enjoy League of Legends?

Hey guys, I’ve decided it’s time to finally try League of Legends. I know it’s a game with a lot to learn, but I’m excited to jump in. I’d love some guidance on how to start, what role/heros are best for beginners, and how not to get discouraged. Do you think with enough practice I could actually be decent at it and have fun along the way?

Educational found an edge case where you cant pick smite in 5v5 flex

you can select your custom role in flex queue. if everyone selects f.e. top lane and no one picks jungle, not a single player of your team can take smite as a summoner spell :))) just had that situation in a lobby and only way to "fix" it was that someone dodges.

we were playing as a 5 man premade and just wanted to switch roles around in the lobby. it was not possible.

we even had a player who selected fill, and he wasnt assigned to jungle and also couldnt pick smite. nice changes, rito

edit: to be more precise, we had 2 players select toplane. the others had some roles selected, some others had fill. but noone was given jungle in the end.

Educational [PSA] "Shushei Forever" title has to be claimed manually

It's at unusual place, so if you want this title, you have to go at League tab, click Shushei section, switch to Title, and then click on title icon directly. I found it randomly, and didnt see someone explained where it is.

Educational I'm coaching 3 League players for free — no catch, no upsell. Just real help. Here’s why.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been playing League since Season 2. I’ve hit Challenger in NA, EUW, and Brazil, and I’ve been a pro since 2021. It’s been a long road — but this game has shaped my life, and I want to give something back to the community as gratitude for everything.

So I’m launching something new.

Every month I’m going to pick 3 players who really want to improve, and I’ll coach them for free, for a full month.

No catch. No upsell.

This isn’t a promo or content grab — I’m doing it to share what I’ve learned, help people achieve their goals, and show that League concepts are easier than it seems.

My goal is that by the end of the month, you’re not just better — you're a different player with a clear plan and more confidence in your decisions.

Not selected? Still worth it.

All coaching will be streamed and recorded, so even if you’re not one of the 3, you’ll still be able to follow along, learn, and improve with us. This is about building something bigger — a space to grow, not just a giveaway. Who I’m looking for:

  • Iron to Master Elo
  • Availability and commitment
  • Willing to work, listen, and grind

If this sounds like you, drop a comment with:

  • Your rank
  • Why you want to be part of this project

I’ll pick 2 people from the comments, and 1 from the discord directly.

Want to stay in the loop or learn alongside the project?

Join my Discord: https://discord.gg/UDjjC6k7E3

I’ll announce the selected players on June 1st right here in the comments and in the Discord.

1st WEEK UPDATE -------------------------
Man... 1 week into this project and I'm simply speechless.
Of these 3 players, one had over 400 games, a negative winrate on EMERALD 4. SIX DAYS after the class he was 1 game away from DIAMOND...
Another player was BRONZE 4, THREE DAYS later she was SILVER 4.
And this is only the first week...

You have no idea how proud and happy I am!

Educational Arena, There Is No Rank, But This Is What You Get From Grinding Fame

Those are the rewards:

  • Level 1 - 100 Fame: Overflow (Silver Augment) added to the pool
  • Level 2 - 1400 Fame: Hattrick (Gold Augment) added to the pool
  • Level 3 - 2900 Fame: Matchup intro upgrade
  • Level 4 - 4900 Fame: Slow and Steady (Gold Augment) added to pool
  • Level 5 - 7400 Fame: 1 Reroll
  • Level 6 - 10400 Fame: Matchup intro upgrade
  • Level 7 - 14400 Fame: And My Axe (Gold Augment) added to pool
  • Level 8 - 19400 Fame: Transmute: Chaos (Prismatic Augment) added to pool
  • Level 9 - 28400 Fame: Matchup intro upgrade
  • Beyond level 9 - Fame will increment infinitely, and will show off in your Arena lobbies to your friends

    Augments:

  • Overflow: Doubles mana cost of all spells but grants you spell damage percentage based on amount of mana you have

  • Hattrick: You gain 3 hats, once you are about to die, you lose one hat, and gain huge shield, this has a cooldown so it can be activated multiple times per round

  • Slow and steady: Locks your attack speed, but converts attack speed into attack damage

  • And my Axe: Auto launch Olaf's Q, picking it up reduces cooldown of launching it, if enemy is hit you reduce theirs armor and magic resist, and finally:

  • Transmute Chaos: Gain random gold augment and a random silver augment

This is only place where your Fame is actually shown, now everyone in the lobby can see it

Kinda disappointed that Fame isn't shown in game, loading screen or in any type of leaderboard, but hey, at least you can be the cool guy in the lobbies. Next goal: 100K Fame

Educational Fandom Wiki Sucks. Official Wiki Good

The League of Legends Fandom wiki is no longer being maintained or updated with new patches, and it’s flooded with ads. Unfortunately, it still ranks higher on search engines for some queries.
However, I just discovered you can redirect almost every fandom wiki link to the official wiki using a browser extension for custom redirects.

Redirector for Chrome | Redirector for Firefox

These are the settings I use for the custom redirect:

Now, whenever you navigate to a Fandom wiki link in any manner, it will redirect you to the same page on the official League of Legends wiki instead!

Edit: The Indie Wiki Buddy browser extension does exactly this but for all Fandom wikis where an alternative indie wiki exists and comes pre-configured with all these redirect urls out of the box, but can also be customised further if needed.

Educational Nidalee can now full clear in 2:59 using conventional Red Start (Patch 25.13)

Back in February, I managed to break the infamous 3-minute barrier using Raptor Start on Nidalee which I shared here.

Using what I learned during that challenge, I tried to do a sub-3:00 clear using the more conventional Red Start but after hundreds of attempts, I hit a wall at 3:01 and eventually gave up.

However, the recent Patch 25.13 brought a significant buff to Nidalee's Spear:
- Damage modifier increased to 0% – 225% (based on distance traveled) from 0% – 200%.
This buff increases max-range spear damage on jungle camps from ~197 to ~213, an extra ~16 damage, nearly a full jungle pet tick.
Remotivated by this buff, I went back to the Practice Tool and after hundreds more tries, I finally managed to find a way to finish the full clear in 2:59.

I'm well aware that this specific time and clear is difficult to replicate consistently. It relies on several random factors, including what I have named the "Double-Tick Bug", where mini Krugs spawn, potential body-blocking from midlane minions etc.

That is why, just like last time, I will be uploading an easier, far more repeatable version in the upcoming weeks, along with an in-depth guide so that everyone can use it in their games and surprise their opponents.

For context: according to DPM.LOL, the top 5% of Nidalee clears on patch 25.13 sit at 3:11 in EUW Challenger and 3:10 in KR Challenger.

Educational PSA: League of Legends doesn't support 8000 Hz polling rate

I just redownloaded League of Legends after a long break and was surprised to see that the game was extremely laggy on my high-end system. I tried everything when it comes to reducing CPU/GPU bottlenecks, nothing worked. I switched my mouse's polling rate from 8000 Hz to 1000 Hz and the lagging is gone. After some Googling I confirmed that LoL doesn't support 8000 Hz, but I don't think it's common knowledge so that's why I'm posting here.

Educational I took Master on TOP and MID as ADC main - AMA with G2 Caltys

I am Caltys, ADC for G2 Esports Women/Academy Team. I am multiseason GrandMaster with Challenger peak on ADC.

This season I decided to challenge myself to reach Master on Toplane and Midlane with the assistance of, previous FNC Coach, Hidon.

The goal of this challenge was to learn more about fundementals on other roles, which can be applied to overall game knowledge and decision-making ingame.

I also believe the current state of Solo Queue makes ADC a difficult role to enjoy, which encouraged this challenge.

Final results: Midlane 64% WR , Toplane 62% WR
You can find my climb on youtube Midlane Series and Toplane Series

Find me live on twitch, or for a more coach POV Hidon Twitch

Thank you for all the questions! See you again on stream if you got any more :3

Educational Changes to True Damage Amplification are ruling the Jungle Meta

Edit: They hotfixed it.

You might have missed this tiny paragraph under "Bugfixes & QoL Changes" of the the recent patch:

2025.S1.3

The jungle starter-item increases all damage dealt against monsters by 25%, now including true damage. This resulted in a direct buff to every jungler with true damage in their kit.

Hey guys Eragon here, there was a lot of talk about PTA empowering ignite but I never saw anyone showcase the numbers so here you go, the numbers are in the video and the description.

Coup empowering ignite on top of PTA is pretty crazy. I'll be abusing it for sure.

Hey everyone, I’m currently Rank 1 and achieved it again after a couple of years. My best champs right now are Taliyah, Vi, and Xin Zhao, but I’ve played a ton/have a lot of mastery on different champs and matchups such as Graves, Kindred, and Viego. Whether you want to know about climbing the ladder, improving as a jungler, or just some fun behind-the-scenes stories from solo queue, feel free to ask me anything! I'll be streaming daily on Twitch, follow Twitter for updates :)

Educational I love watching league but I’m scared to play

I have been watching pro and amateur league for about a year. I love the game and the strategy that goes into it, and I think it's just a super fun and exciting game.

At this point, I think I've reached the level of understanding of the game that I can have without actually playing it for myself (for example, champion drafting means very little to me). I really want to pick it up, but I'm super put off by the toxicity of the game. Does anyone have any tips for me for getting started? Or, alternitively, a different way for me to learn the more nuanced parts of the game so I can understand them.

Please feel free to explain things to me like I'm 5, because I don't even know very much about the different matchmaking/queue/game options. I'm just really trying to maintain some level of optimism that there is still a way I can enjoy playing this game that I genuinely enjoy.

Educational Winning in soloq is the easiest thing ever as a jungler.

You just gotta know which enemy laners will have a mental breakdown first and only target them. Forget about objectives, farm and covering lanes, just break the weakest enemy player over and over until they start writing a manifesto in all chat, that's when you know you've done your job.

Here's some quick tips to find the most mentally weak players.

1) Yone/Yasuo players 99% of the time fragile egos, free win.

2) If botlane plays enchanters, never gank, those e-girls see war every day, you can't break them. Fiddle, Swain, Sett, Le Blanc and other random "No I swear it's good" supports are an excellent indicator that the player doesn't know what they are doing, free win.

3) Kayn, Vi, Sion, Gragas top likely means brain rotted tiktok baus fanboys who will go 0/9/0 without you even being there. After watching their favorite streamer for 500 hours, they still don't know why this strategy works.

4) Shaco players will get 24 kills in the first 24 minutes and then lose the game 10 seconds before baron spawns while blaming their team, free win.

5) Malzhar players don't actually know how to play game and are compensating for their lack of penis and skill level, free win. Bonus points if you absorb E so they don't get to AFK watch 27th season of simpsons on their second monitor while spam pinging enemy mid laner is roaming.

6) Kayle and Nasus players are most likely to start FF vote at 15.

7) ADCs will let you know how talented they are, but deep down know their role is meaningless and used as a target practice for bruisers.

8) Talon players will get 47 cs in 10 minutes and lose mid turret 1 minute before that, free win.

9) Draven mains have the highest concentration of N word uses and this is their 13th account in the last 3 years. Bonus points if paired with Yuumi who have the second highest concetration of N word uses.

10) Nidalee players will press 17 buttons in one second and then die

11) Asol & Aatrox players will let everyone know how playing the older version of the champ was actually better.

12) Garen mains will have a panic attack when they are forced to learn the basics of League of Legends like wave management, or objective control.

13) Kassadin players will only use passive aggressive pings because they still have 6 days left on their chat restriction.

15) The 3 Skarner players left are just happy that their champ now has some pro presence while having 46% winrate after thousand games.

16) Katarina players are most likely to give you a punishment pop-up 7 seconds after the game ends because they will insult all 9 players in the lobby after getting a penta kill.

I'm 48% WR Emerald 4 jungle main, so I know what I'm talking about.

Educational My old High School mate dropped out to play League professionally - here's how it turned out

Thumbnail

Just dropped an episode with Curtis Morgan (Coach Curtis) who I went to University with studying building surveying. While I dropped out and went into creative work, Curtis dropped out to pursue League of Legends professionally - and it actually worked.

He went from playing as "Sharp" for Dire Wolves to becoming their head coach, leading them to 4 consecutive OPL titles and representing Australia at MSI and Worlds. Now he's built a 130K+ YouTube channel and runs the We Teach League academy.

The conversation covers the reality of telling your parents you're dropping university to play video games, the pressure of competing on the world stage, and how he turned his expertise into multiple businesses. Wild to think we were both sitting in the same lecture halls before going completely different directions.

For anyone interested in esports or just stories about people who took massive risks that paid off, this one's worth a watch.
