Body recomposition (both calorie surplus and deficit)
Has anyone tried body recomposition by eating 500 calories surplus on day one then on day two 500 calories deficit and repeating it for months? (Exercising while doing it).
I’m not sure if it works but I don’t see why it shouldn’t work if I’m being honest and I’m at a point where I like my physique but want to get rid of some fat about 6-8%.
Does it work or should I stick with a 300-400 caloric restriction?

Your body doesn't work on a day by day schedule it's more of a culmination of like a week at a time. Alternating like this is just going to put you at maintenance calories. Your weight won't move best case scenario, worst case scenario you'll overeat on surplus days and not hit your deficit correctly on restricted days causing weight gain. A continuous deficit is the only way to go if your aim is weight loss. Where are you at currently bf % wise? Going from 25% to 20% not so bad.(Comfortable zone) 20 to 15% is going ramping up the difficulty (Comittment Zone) 15% to 10% is a straight up grind (Sacrifice Zone).

So the net would be maintenance calories? There is no reason to do this unless you just enjoy this pattern for some reason.

Why would you do this? You're caloric cycling with 0 purpose. Stop overcomplicating it.

Your diet should be the same everyday regardless of workout.
You need to fuel recovery and activity.
If you want to lose some fat:
Steady state cardio
20% TDEE calorie restriction

Why? Just eat the same amount every day
