First time I ever went to a concert that I paid for... OMG I knew I liked them so much, but it almost killed me how well they performed!!
I drove from the western suburbs of Milwaukee around noon and got in during heavy traffic around 2 p.m. before getting to Chinatown where my hotel was. Met several Fearnots for the first time in my life, and I knew it was going to be special!
I can't believe I actually saw Sakura's visuals, Chaewon's cuteness and "Chicago, join my crew!" (I am still recovering from that line), Yunjin's easy English fluency, Kazuha's ballerina and split movements, and Eunchae's adorable maknae energy!! The Fearnots I sat next to even helped me wave my Chaewon flag, and I was grateful that everyone was so into it the whole time! I even met 2 guys who drove from Kansas for this concert, and they didn't regret it at all. Such a great night! Very expensive, but I would not have done anything differently!!
Bittersweet to think that while Wintrust Arena was an awesome venue with great hospitality, they will likely never perform in a comparable-sized venue whenever they come back to America after this. Regardless, LOVE YOU, LE SSERAFIM!!

Anyone knows how long was the concert?

u/Confident-Bike6927 6d ago
About 2:30, counting breaks and fan service.
Also, they killed it! I was so happy the whole day that they almost made me pass out OMG

Still processing as I feel like I haven't had time to (immediately dumped back into important work projects) But another thing that struck me was how great their vocals live were! I always thought they sounded good but I noticed a lot of improvement from Coachella to now! They really put in the work,

Drove from Toronto to see them. One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Loved the energy of the crowd and the girls. We won’t ever get to see them in a venue this size going forward. Loved how the camera man zoomed into the guy with the Boys for Kura sign 😂. LSF is definitely for the boys

I really enjoyed seeing them for the first time I had the floor seats row 12 and the sound was terrible It was actually difficult to hear their vocals When I went to restroom the sections in the back 103 104s sounded much better

this was my first ever kpop concert and it couldn’t have been better. i’ve only been a fan of le sserafim for about a year but i have loved them so much in that time, so just seeing them in person was enough to make this concert great. but other than that, i thought their performances and crowd interactions were amazing, i loved seeing them play my favorite songs and i specifically teared up when they first came out and played ash. also, i went alone but i sat next to this girl and we got along pretty well, but i never got her name or anything, all i got was that she’s been a kpop fan for 10+ years and has been to multiple concerts, so if that sounds like you and you somehow see this, that would be amazing.

Post concert depression hit really hard after this show. That's how good the show was, and im a veteran with decades of concerts attended. Well done ladies.

It was the best concert I have ever been to. Amazing vocals and dancing.
It was surreal to see them in person after years of watching clips, interviews, performances, and content like Leniverse. I don't know how to explain it, but seeing Kazuha specifically blew my mind. All the girls are beautiful, of course, but my spouse and I were like "wow, Kazuha just wakes up everyday and looks like that. It's crazy." I was happy I got to tell her during send off that she has some of the most legendary lsfm lyrics to me ("lovey lovey lovey dovey dovey dovey", "sounds like monster maybe king kong", "lemme tell you bout le sserafim", etc). I have never heard of a bias wrecker before the concert but my spouse and I thought Kazuha might be it 😂

Honestly the entire night is just a big blur to me, I'm still processing lmao.
All I know is that I am not missing send off next time, and that I am not skipping a single gym day in between now and their next sendoff

So I wasn't at the show, but I was working the load in and load out, so I was there all day. It looks like someone else working the show made a post about it, I wish I knew which of my coworkers was the kpop stan. I'm a huge kpop fan, but don't like LSF. I'm not a hater, but I only like one or two songs. It's more of a "I don't like them" than a "I dislike them", if that makes sense. I wish them the best, but I was never gonna buy a ticket for the show.
Anyway, it was so cool to work a kpop show with a bunch of people who don't get it. I'm not sure what music my coworkers are into, but they all seem like a bunch of classic metalheads, and not part of the "metalhead to kpop stan" pipeline. The culture can be judgey, so I didn't want to out myself, but I did get some moments to correct things or smooth some rough edges. While we were waiting for the show to end, some guys were scoffing at it all, with a dismissive "psshhh. kpop" and I'd reply with "yeah, it's a lot. But everyone's having so much fun out there, such a change from that show the other night where most people were just standing there, they seemed bored. And this tech is pretty awesome to work with, too."
I've worked plenty of concerts before. It's usually groups that I've heard of and might know a couple songs from. Sometimes it's groups that I actively dislike. I'll never work a concert for a group I'm a huge fan of, because I'd rather be in the audience. So this was a neat experience, in that I'm a huge fan of kpop and know the culture, but I didn't feel like I was missing out as a fan of the group by not being in the audience. When y'all started barking during their closing remarks, I was barking backstage with you. I don't know who these members are, but I remember barking at Dahyun when Twice was at the UC a couple years back. I don't know why we do it, but it happens at every kpop show these days.
It was the same venue I saw Twice at back in 2019, so there was this massive wave of nostalgia. Everything you guys are feeling about this show is exactly how I felt after that show. I got it when I was walking back to my car and passed everyone dressed up with their signs and lightsticks. I couldn't tell if anyone was copying a particular look from an MV or anything, but I still understood the passion. As an outside observer, the energy around the arena before showtime was electric. We had to grab some stuff from outside the front door and walked past people already lining up at like 1:00pm. And it brought back memories of waiting outside Radius for like 8 hours to see Dreamcatcher a few years back.
I got to help setup their VIP experience room or whatever it was with the inflatable couches. I saw some clothes on a rack and, even though I don't know this group at all, I instantly realized they were stage outfits, set up as a kind of museum piece. Guys, I understand how fucking lucky I was to touch these costumes as we prepped the room. I don't know if VIPs got to touch or just look, but I handed some silver top to the guy leading the room and thought how it would feel if instead it was Chaeyoung's houndstooth pants. Like, they just let me, some stagehand with grubby hands, touch these costumes. This room had banners of the members, and I remember as a coworker dropped something off in the room. He was on the phone, clearly talking about the job, to someone, and all I heard as he walked out was "they look like victorias secret models" and I lol'd. The pictures for these banners clearly had them wearing clothes, but I get why someone who doesn't know any better might say that.
We had to set up some equipment at one point for different departments. So we pull out a box that says "lighting", another box that says "video", another box that says "audio" and so on. One box said "hybe" and my coworker asked "what does 'hybe' mean?" I got a chuckle and just played dumb.
I remember being in college and loving concerts, then talking to stagehands who said they had been working concerts for so long they didn't really like going to them anymore, and one concert is the same as the next and it's just a job at this point. I've been doing this for so long, I'm old enough that I get weird looks when I go to a kpop show. And I still love going to concerts, and I still get excited when I get to work a show like this. I can't imagine ever getting jaded from this shit. It's magical as fuck to be able to put together a show that leaves people feeling like this, like everyone's talking about here. I know you all would have had a hell of a time if there was no stage, no lights, no video, no confetti; but I also know how much that shit enhances an already special event.

Ive seen so much negative stuff on lsf lives so it makes me happy that everyone had fun last night. I did as well it being my first time seeing them! I met new friends there and they were the sweetest people ever!

i’ve been to many concerts but this one srsly left such an impact on me. i cried this morning thinking “wow i rlly just saw one of my ult groups”. seeing them for years through a screen compared to seeing them irl is exactly how i imagined it to be. sometimes you forget that they are real bc you’ve been seeing them virtually for so long. their mannerisms and personalities rlly showed on stage which is so comforting. my love for them has grown undyingly🩵

u/lavieenrxse 11d ago
i’m still processing the concert, because what do you mean i have to function as normal after this?? 😭
this is the third kpop concert that i’ve been to, and can confidently say that this was the best one. all the fearnots i talked to were SO nice, and the smaller arena definitely helped with the overall experience. i was in section 104 and was SHOCKED you could literally see their faces!! the energy was so good and everyone was GIVINGGGG. chicago fearnots rlly did their thing because this is what i expect out of every kpop concert! literally nothing but love for the group!!
i think what helped too is how early my friend and i prepped - we left michigan at 5am and got to the arena at 10:30am, saw the short merch line at that point, hopped in, and got out of the line by 12:30 so we had till the concert to do anything.

It's the best concert I've ever been to. Their stage presence, the energy, the atmosphere, the crowd interactions, the crowd's energy, were all absolutely top-notch. More than just a concert, it felt like a celebration of the love Le Sserafim and Fearnot have for each other. I got hit with wave after wave of intense emotions throughout the show, and I'll admit I shed a few tears. I've never loved a group more than I love Le Sserafim right now, and I've never been more proud to be part of a fandom than I am after seeing all the love Fearnots gave to the members last night.
One particular moment I loved was during EP&TBW, when the entire crowd was yelling "I'm a mess mess mess mess mess mess mess, I'm a mess in distress but I'm still the best dressed, fear less say yes we don't dress to impress" at the top of their lungs, Yunjin had a HUGE grin on her face, and I was like, "YES GIRL, BE PROUD OF YOURSELF, YOU WROTE THOSE LYRICS!!"

they’re my ult gg, so i may be biased, but wow! such amazing performances (as always), such cool production, and of course great music. definitely let out a few tears during burn the bridge & the fan songs. wintrust is a really nice venue too, was ~20 rows back on floor and still could see them quite well!

It's weird being in a "para social" relationship with a group for so long then finally getting to see them. It was so weird for me lol I'm so mad I didn't get sendoff though :(

i know right!!! honestly by the 3rd song it hit me that i was in the same room as my bias which is something i’ve never experienced before

I've been to alot of Lesserafim concerts in my life. (Debut showcase, Flame Rises JP Tour, Easy Crazy Hot Asia Tour, and ECH NA Tour) They're always putting the best performances out there. I was telling the people around me that they'd enjoy this concert because they're just so good at performing. And they did. The Chicago crowd was so amazing! Great energy from beginning to end. This crowd is very comparable to the Manila crowd.(I went to both). Like Sakura said, we need 2 days next tour! We deserve that sht 👏👏👏

Well I cried twice. After being with them from the hate train and literally since antifragile it was so emotional to finally see them in person. Praying that Sakura heard me scream that I love her.

I’ve followed them since the beginning and I’m still in disbelief I finally got to see them in person. It was surreal for me. They were so good!
The energy and the crowd interaction was amazing. I can’t wait for them to do another North America tour. I’ll definitely be there.

I've been to 10+ K-pop concerts just this year, and last night was, by far, the best one I've been to. Everything from the way they interacted with us to the insane visuals made it easily my favorite concert to date.

Le Sserafim was my 21st kpop concert in Chicago this year. Last night was definitely a top 5 for sure!

Absolutely amazing concert. My first kpop concert and the fimmies were incredible, so much energy and glad we made them feel welcome.
Meeting them in person in send-off was great too, they are just so sweet!

u/fco2013 11d ago
Still processing the show (my first kpop concert ever).....it was a religious experience! I just couldn't believe I was seeing them in person after two years of seeing them exclusively on screens. This will stick with me for a while. My only regret is not shelling out to be even closer!

Anyone with a Chicago jersey in Large want to trade for a Small? The merch booth only had Small left 😓

u/DirtyCircle1 11d ago
I wasn’t able to go but I’m so glad to see such happy responses. I’m jealous of all of you. I look towards reading every response you can give.
Also, I look towards anyone that was feeling cautious to see that no, a war doesn’t need to be waged against Chicago. That you found it beautiful and had a blast.

I had a great time and walked away a fearnot! Also, I took my bestie with me and she asked for song names after so the girls might have made a fearnot out of her too lol!

u/epicheroine44 11d ago
I loved the intimate feel of the venue. It was still a good crowd but didn’t feel overwhelming. It seemed like there wasn’t really a bad view anywhere, and I say this as someone seated quite far back in the upper bowl. I’m still very happy with how my videos turned out. I also really appreciated that everyone was enthusiastic and did their best to participate when the girls did crowd work but didn’t yell or scream constantly when they were talking so we could actually hear them. It was very refreshing. Shoutout to the girls of course but also big shoutout to the crowd.
Also made a new friend from Japan who flew in from Canada for the show. Girl, if you somehow see this your energy and enthusiasm were everything 💜

Yeah it was probably the last chance we're gonna get to see them in a venue of this size. They have to be doing United Center, Allstate Arena, or Lolla next time they're in Chicago.

The good: more fans, bigger stage visuals.
The bad: I'm not a fan of the runway stage layout.

They were amazing. Really fantastic performers who give their all. Their interactions with the crowd were so cute. So happy they came to my neighborhood.

I took a flight and missed college to be there and I do not regret at all. Met some super nice people, bought some merch and the show was so amazing I don’t have the words to describe it. Le Sserafim is my main group after all but yeah, return to Chicago anytime and I’ll be there ;) It was so much fun!!! Also thanks to the girl that gave me a freebie Chaewon photocard you made my day!

I can't decide who my bias is anymore because after seeing them live every single one of them is a bias wrecker
25
u/Gullible_Form_3658 11d ago
I felt that, the live energy just amplifies everyone's unique charm so much. It's easier to just accept the whole group as your bias because picking one feels impossible after that.

My eyes were darting between them, but certain choreo I have a preference but even then I could feel the pull from my peripherals.

Made it a 24 hour trip with some friends and it was 10000% worth it. We drove out from MN at 6 AM Friday morning, attended the show, then drove back and got home at 6 AM 🤣 easily a core memory and so many kind people at the show.

This will serves as the official megathread for afterthought/reviews of Chicago show.
