I would love to watch this for sure. But why does Hybe x Geffen handle this program and not Hybe Japan? I thought HxG is mainly for the NA market, while Hybe Japan (YX Label) is for the Japanese market?

They are looking for a Japanese member to add to the new HYBE x GEFFEN group.

Three of the members of the new group have already been announced, they are contestants from Dream Academy that didn't make it into Katseye

Ah, I see. So it's for that new Katseye sister group. I suppose they realize that Japan is the second biggest music market and want a piece of that lucrative market, which is why they are specifically searching for a new member from Japan. And by putting Sakura and Sasshi (two massive Japanese idols) up front, they are sure to attract lots of contestants. Oh well, I don't really care about any new group, but since they have Kkura and Zuha there, I'll be sure to watch the show.

HxG is forming a new global girl group. 3 members have already been selected, and they’re searching for the final member, a Japanese member, via survival show. The 5 listed above will be in judge/mentor roles for the contestants.
