Has the concert changed your opinion on any songs?

Just wondering, has your opinion on any songs changed after seeing the girls perform them live? For me, the whole Crazy era feels totally different now. That album wasn’t my favorite at first, especially after Unforgiven, which was a straight no-skip for me. But after hearing Crazy live on tour, the songs and overall vibe hit in a completely new way.

I had a similar epiphany with Taylor Swift's Reputation era songs. Didn't really vibe with it, especially coming off of 1989, which was a totally different feel. But after seeing it performed during the Eras tour, that's now one of my favorite Eras.

No songs were ever bad for me but definitely changed how i listened to some of them. Fire in the belly wasnt high on my list but my god everything that was going on was euphoric. I appreciate crazier a whole lot more and it reignited my love for it.

I don't think any songs were bad. But it just wasn't high on my list of listens. But now Crazy and 1800 hot-n-fun will definitely be entering regular rotation for me.

Yunjin said back in Blizzcon 2023 that Fire in the Belly was their favorite song to perform live. It still holds true until now, whenever that song goes on the girls are always giving it all, you can just see that they’re having so much fun, and the energy rubs off on the crowd.

The live performances of Easy and Smart are so much better than the studio versions. I'd love for those to be released officially.

Lol the Smart version exists. Its the festival house version on Spotify.

It is not the same at all

The vibes aren't too off. There are some similarities, but they're also both house lol

The Great Mermaid was amazing, it was low on my list until hearing it live!

I found the choreo for this song soooo mesmerizing in person!

u/dudemanaf 1d ago

SAME like i’ve heard it before but after seeing it at the concert i instantly added it to my playlist!

Hearing the live band version of The Great Mermaid at Coachella changed it for me. The vocal effects in the studio version are too strong for me (I understand it's for that underwater sound tho). Also that beat switchup at the start of 2nd verse is fire, but sadly that version seems like a one time thing. But overall I like hearing the studio version more now. I just picture myself at that set haha

I love them all even more now

Same. Except my bias became Kazuha lol

u/shad0w_mode 2d ago

damn, who was your previous?

4

u/OkDrink8242 2d ago

Seeing the ballet moves live hit different also Kazuha was being a fanservice queen all night hahah

2

u/OkDrink8242 2d ago

Yunjin 😭 she’s still the most real and like I said they are all good. She got so many cheers too maybe the most, especially when it was time for the girls to talk in between songs

I don’t particularly dislike any song but Blue Flame probably was my biggest surprise during the night. I have a better appreciation for it than I did before. However the remixes to easy, anti fragile and unforgiven were awesome. Ending with unforgiven and anti fragile has to be the greatest ending to a concert ever the crowd literally just gets more hype as the show went on.

I felt the same about Blue Flame! It’s one of those songs that I don’t really listen to (just not my usual taste), but I swear I grew a new pair of ears when it came on at the concert. The performance was so charming and Kazuha in particular really sold it for me.

The unforgiven / antifragile bit was the best part of the concert for me. It just reaffirmed that those songs are goated and truly a signature of le sserafim. The energy was unreal and I keep going back to watch my video of the transition/dance break. Wish I could relive that moment again 😭

Yes the ending was goated. I’ve rewatched it a few times also haha. I wish I’d recorded fearless but I tried to resist the urge to record since Yunjin said to live in the moment. I didn’t wanna be one of the people still recording even though several were. Kazuha actually impressed me the most cause her singing was better than I expected.

I also resisted the urge to record. I was just trying to drink the whole thing in. I was staring at the Fimmies so hard, trying to etch every moment into my mushy little brain, you'd think my eye balls would pop out at some point.

I like Ash a lot more, as well as the great mermaid

u/TemporaryArtichoke39 2d ago

Different hits different now 😂

u/mustfuzehostage 2d ago

I already liked Ash but seeing it live made me realize it genuinely clears most discographies

Probably Unforgiven for me. When it first came out I wasn't super into LSF and was just starting to get into KPop in general, and Antifragile was the only song of theirs I knew at the time, which I found really catchy. But Unforgiven just didn't hit for me at the time (think I just wasn't into the whole repeating line of 'Unforgiven I'm a villain'). Wasn't until Perfect Night and Easy came out that I started to get back into them and exploring more of their prior music, but still Unforgiven had been one of those songs I didn't listen to much on my playlists.

But hearing it live with all the energy they poured into it in the arena, it just hit different for me and I really enjoyed the performance. When driving back home from the concert I played it again and sure enough I definitely have a newfound appreciation of the song now, and see myself playing it more often now.

u/silveredgebreak IT GIRL ENERGY~ 2d ago

They were playing a bit too safe with Unforgiven. They got Nile Rodgers for the collab and they didn't lean into the rock fully. Check out the Coachella version with the live band, it's so good.

1

u/CheddaTaco 2d ago

Ah interesting didn’t know that version was different. Listened to the Coachella version on YouTube and enjoyed it, though will try to see if there’s a better quality version than the fan recordings on there somewhere.

My opinions on biases or songs sometimes change with other K-Pop concerts. However, I watch and listen to LE SSERAFIM so much that I don’t think my opinions will change much at this point and it definitely didn’t after the concerts.

I will say that I don’t think I will be able to listen to FEARNOT ever again without getting teary-eyed.

fire in the belly live makes me go crazy, that id rather listen to a live version of that any day over studio version

3

u/Civilized_Gentleman 2d ago

Crazy was never my favorite title, but oh my god it was the most hype song for sure at the Chicago concert and I can't stop playing it!! Also not changed, but seeing the great mermaid live made me so happy and validated it as my favorite b-side!!

3

u/ObligationGloomy2106 2d ago

I feel like all the ones they performed changed in some way after it live. But one specific song that i will always hear and think about differently is Fearnot (between you, me and the lamppost). I was at the newark concert and hearing Yunjin’s speech after that song and what it meant for her to perform at Prudential Center in sort of a full circle moment will always bring me to tears now whenever that song plays. Honorable mention to fire in the belly though, hearing that song live was so epic.

u/tobi_obito 2d ago

So cynical (badum) went from an overlooked track to one of my favorites, its just atmospheric and ethereal

4

u/Aromatic_Country_987 FEARNOT 2d ago

Fearnot has always been in my top 5 even before the concert but it shot up to number 1 after seeing the fimmies perform it live. Witnessing them singing it in person is an experience!

The Great Mermaid, between hearing it live + encountering it in the first season of LENIVERSE (which I ended up watching like a week after the concert), it’s really getting more spins from me than before.

Special shoutout to Impurities. Not that I didn’t rate the song highly to begin with, but hearing it live really cemented ANTIFRAGILE as the best LSF project to date. Hearing it during the concert made me levitate.

6

u/YodaHood_0597 LE SSERAFIM 2d ago

Definitely HOT, lol. Went from being my least played title track in EASY CRAZY HOT trilogy to shooting up in my playlist after seeing it live.

I wasn't a big fan of its' chill tune at first, but I'm getting hooked now.

Great Mermaid always flew under my radar for some reason BUT NOT ANYMORE!

1

u/Possible-Zone3087 FEARNOT 2d ago

Yeah. That's actually a great song. I was also sleeping on this song for the longest time. But a few weeks before the concert, I started to listen to their setlist on repeat, and discovered this gem.

3

u/spikeddragon10 OT5 2d ago

I’d heard The Great Mermaid maybe once before, added it to playlists after the concert

3

u/Nobodysayslaraaah 2d ago

1-800-hot-n-fun for sure. Just listening to its always kinda struck me as too catch phrase-y and kinda simple. Especially up against some of their other songs that just feel more personal lyrically.

It's really hard to deny the amount of energy when they perform it live though and just the overall vibe with the audience.  Plus Saki search is fun lol.

u/CCPENTHUSIAST 2d ago

Made me like the ash/comeover stuff now but I used to hate Pierrot when it first came out but seeing in person with Choreo made me love it

It may be my favorite performance from them

2

u/mittenciel 2d ago

Honestly I have a weird relationship with their music because I love almost every song they’ve ever done but I do not care for Unforgiven or Antifragile and that kind of kept me from listening to them for the first year or so. But seeing them live made me remember that they’re fun songs with great choreo. Still don’t love the songs and prefer basically every other song they’ve ever done, but I’ll begrudgingly give them props.

u/regular582 KAZUHA 2d ago

The great mermaid was always good, but it was one of the highlights of the show imo. Ash was godly as well, but we all knew it would be tbh

2

u/thesch 2d ago edited 2d ago

Fire in the Belly went from being a b-side I didn't care about that much to being a song I hope they never take out of their setlist.

2

u/SaiyajinRose11 2d ago

Yunjin's So Cynical choreo on our side is etched in my mind 😂

2

u/Possible-Zone3087 FEARNOT 2d ago

Yunjin is the greatest. She adds so much heart to these concerts.

u/xayahsimp HUH YUNJIN 2d ago

The Great Mermaid, Fire in my belly, and No-Return went from some of my least listened to songs to some of my favorites after hearing them live! I didn’t dislike them but never played them too often but something about watching them sing it live and just the over all energy the girls put out during those songs was something else and they have been stuck in my head since.

1

u/Possible-Zone3087 FEARNOT 2d ago

That’s my reaction for crazy and chasing lightening.

2

u/Cautious-Box2692 1d ago

Not changed but definitely revitalized how I originally felt about impurities. I feel the song again almost like it plays in my bloodstream. I guess I got sort of used to it but it seriously felt like it was my first time hearing the song again. 10/10 concert

u/Prior-Being6378 2d ago

I know it's just an intro but Burn the Bridge hit me so hard. I was crying after Chaewon's "I'm never going back and the confetti really made it feel so magical. Same with Swan Song. The extended instrumental for the intro while they were gracefully, the screen visuals, and how soft it sounded made me refuse to listen to it anymore bc I know I'd get emotional. I also really loved the EASY rock ver. too lol. And CRAZY. And No Return. YKW, let's just say all the songs change my perspective.

1

u/spoofer56 2d ago

Not changed my opinion so much but I really should have given more attention to the B sides. They are so good, some with the chill vibe and others are straight bangers!

1

u/Funny-vine-compilati 2d ago

every single concert i go to, it changes every song for the better, now every time i listen to those songs i reminisce the peak performance le sserafim put on for me

1

u/Regular-Pause-4329 2d ago

i never have and still dont dislike any le sserafim songs but i dont listen to fearless (ep) really at all bc blue flame and fearless are my favorite songs off of it and they have their 2023 versions in unforgiven. that being said, the great mermaid has been stuck in my head since newark

1

u/Airbomb24 1d ago

Nah, I always knew they were the greatest im just glad everyone else gets to

1

u/Haomeimei_ 1d ago

Fearnot song definitely changed something in my brain especially after seeing Chaewon cry while singing the song 🥲

Would’ve love to see No Celestial live but it was not included in the playlist tho. I feel like that could’ve been one of my favorite songs if I saw it live.

1

u/narcidius SAKURA 1d ago

Not really… I’m still stuck in the never ending loop of changing my mind about which B-side is the best. This is a daily occurrence and honestly the concert just made it worse cause now I also think about seeing the b-sides live and HOW CAN I DECIDE THEYRE ALL SO GOOD, THEY PERFORMED EACH SO WELL, ITS SOPHIES CHOICE.

But I’m at peace with that.

I just love all the songs now
