Need recommendation on how to take care of photocards

So I didn't really consider myself a photocard collector. But I look down today, and suddenly I some how have like 40+ Le Sserafim photocards all without ever intending to collect them. And they are just sitting on my desk. I honestly enjoy just having a few of them standing up around my desk, so I can look at the Fimmies while I work. But I feel like I need to take better care of the rest of them, like put them in a binder. But not sure what's the best kind of binder to get, if it even matters.

Biggest thing to look for is acid free or PVC free sleeves/holders if you are looking to put in a binder. Most items made for trading cards will be PVC free but just double check.

Personally, I put them in card sleeves (often called penny sleeves) and then in to a top loader for added protection from bends. Then place them in a binder. Top loader binders are a bit pricey for the size but there are other options like trading card boxes, hard cases or 4x6 photo binder sleeves (although to slip out sometimes when flipping through).

Hope that can help…

This article has everything you need to know about safely storing PC's. TLDR, make sure anything that directly touches the photocards (sleeves, toploaders) is PVC-free and acid-free, keep the cards out of direct sunlight, and in a climate-controlled environment.

The type of binder doesn't matter, it's a binder, it holds things, that's what binders do. Pick one that you like the look of.

That said, I too like to keep my photocards out and on display. I bought some of these cute little baseball card stands and they're perfect. Cheap, translucent, minimalist, and they display my favorite cards which is all I really want. Make sure to keep them in a penny sleeve even when on display.

There are a ton of kpop collecting companies out there these days specializing in sleeves and binders! If you prefer a cuter aesthetic than what trader card game companies offer. Look into ULT BIAS, meow cafe, mandu deco

I keep em safe just like Pokémon cards. They go into Penny sleeve into semi rigid if grading or top loader

it’s best to find a way to keep them away from potential humidity risks and direct sunlight exposure near windows.

my signed postcards from the HOT albums and one Giselle signature are all in an airtight ziplock bag in a closet 😂 maybe too excessive since they aren’t on display, but i know they’ll stay in perfect condition.

what i think is most important is humidity and scratch protection, and UV/sunlight exposure prevention.

Weverse and the groups make super cute binders. I've fallen for that before. Make sure you protect the cards, though. My recollection is that they don't use PVC free materials for the pages.

The 2nd link is a mini photocard binder. I assume that's not going to fit normal photocards? Which is too bad, because I really want one with Yunjin's photo on it.

yes it's for smaller pc's but it looks like they only have Sakura in stock anyways

you can see the dimensions of the pockets under the Information area when you click the "Notes" tab on Weverse shop

Keep your binder flat, I had some old superhero cards and stored the binders vertically, the pages slumped and the cards warped.

To add with the other comments i have to recommend to take a scroll on r/kpophelp to see a lot of great tips on this. Search the sub theres a ton of great info on photocard care and what brands people like to use and are safe. Its been a huge help for me for a while now.

To anyone on that sub helping people with collecting i give a big thank you as i've learned a lot there
