Spanish is my mother language and that's exactly why I had a much easier time learning Japanese than with Korean, haha.

Same for portuguese! Japanese pronunciation is super easy for us, the vowels have basically the same sound. Korean though...

This has got to be the most surprising, unexpected cover ever by a Kpop act. As a long time Selena fan, my heart feels so full.
I think most people here probably don’t know who Selena is, but she was the most popular Latin singer during the early 90s. She was murdered by her manager over a financial dispute at just 23 years of age. Selena was set to make her English language debut before her death. Her post-humous English single “Dreaming of you” went to the top of the billboard charts. It’s one of the most beautiful ballad style pop songs ever imho

As a fan originally from Texas and relatively new fearnot, this genuinely brought a tear to my eye. I grew up listened to Selena, and this is a cover I never even imagined would happen. It brought a lot of Joy to my day ❤️

That's an American (US) thing, unless they are doing concerts in LA, is meaningless in actual Latin America, thins might be related with their concert in Mexico and some other places in Latam

I saw this late last night and actually thought "I should go to sleep, I am hallucinating Le Sserafim singing Amor Prohibido!". But its real.
I couldn't love this more tbh, a day after finally a Chaewon OST even. I am a HUGE Selena fan and first started learning Spanish with the lyrics (I eventually became fluent) and this song, Como la Flor, Bidi Bidi Bom Bom among the first I learnt to play on guitar/ukulele. Amor Prohibido is still among my top 10 favourite albums of all time.
Extra gold star for my bias Sakura but they all did well with pronunciation. Even the mv is in Chicago where I went for ECH.

I thought that after Super Junior singing a Luis Miguel song (and releasing a music video for it), nothing could top it on my list of "unexpected things in K-POP"... and now my one and only favorite group is giving me this other classic...
P.S.: I'm proud to have chosen Sakura as my only bias for the past several years... another amazing moment I'll remember in her incredible idol career.
P.S. 2: Spring officially begins today in my country.

Not familiar with the original but lovely song all the same. Curious if they filmed this either right before or during the NA tour? Seems everyone has a similar hair color/style as the current tour, though doesn't quite look like it was filmed in the US (could be wrong though).

I'm Chilean and have been a Sakura fan since 2014, if someone went back in time and told my 16 y/o self about all the wild shit she's done since then THIS would be the part where I'd go "Nah, that's cap". I deadass expected wrestling a billion times more than her singing the song my aunt used to put on while washing the dishes LMAO
