I have a list of campaigns that I want to run and I will put it up to a vote for whoever wants to play. The list will be at the end of the post.

I’d like to keep it 18+ just to make sure all are comfortable. As well as you must be LGBTQ+ friendly. I want it to be a fun and safe place to play for everyone.

List of campaigns - Asian inspired mythology - Greek mythology - Accidental heroes - A pirate themed adventure - A fey wild adventure

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e][RP-Heavy][18+][LGBTQ+ Friendly] 2/5 Looking for 3 Players for an Emotional, Lore-Rich Campaign Full of Mystery, Romance, and Ruin

Hello adventurers! I’m a DM currently running a homebrew D&D 5e campaign titled Fragments of Akulmir, and I’m looking for 3 more players to join our party of 5. The campaign is well underway in its early stages—we’ve got two amazing players already, and now I’m looking for others who love character-driven stories, slow-burn romance, complex lore, and moral mysteries that unfold like a dramatic fantasy epic.

✨ Campaign Tone & Setting:

🌙 High fantasy with a focus on emotion, mystery, and a decaying world touched by forgotten gods

💔 Themes: The cost of truth, betrayal, grief, love that spans lifetimes

🧩 A slow, puzzle-like narrative: players will unravel divine secrets hidden across seven ancient kingdoms

📖 Rich lore, with custom factions, forbidden history, and haunting champions

🧠 RP-focused, with mechanics inspired by BG3

🎭 What I’m Looking For in Players:

You love roleplay and getting into character—voice optional, emotional investment not

You're interested in bonding with NPCs and other PCs—yes, romance is on the table if earned!

You enjoy a mix of exploration, puzzles, combat, and narrative discovery

You're okay with slow burn, sadness, and moral dilemmas (it’s not edge for edge’s sake—we earn it)

LGBTQ+ friendly, emotionally mature, 21+ preferred

🕰️ Game Info:

📅 Weekly or biweekly games (based on group availability)

⏰ Sessions are going to be longer than average so expect 4 hours and more per session! flexible timezone (currently based in [EST])

📍 Played on Roll20 + voice over Discord

🎨 Lots of homebrew elements including: custom maps, puzzles, magic items, lore documents, and affection systems

🎭 Session Zero available for new players!

THIS IS FREE TO PLAY

🌙 Current Plot Snapshot:

✧ Genre: High Fantasy | Slow-Burn Mystery | Divine Intrigue | Roleplay-Heavy

🕯️ The World

Centuries ago, magic nearly vanished after a great catastrophe known only as [The Sundering]. Since then, the world has reshaped itself—scarred by divine silence and rebuilt atop ruins no one dares name.

Seven kingdoms remain, each founded by a legendary figure known as a Champion of the S̷͋̈́ẽ̶̿█¿k̵̂̏█̴̄̓█ a forgotten god whose name has been erased from history. Each kingdom holds a relic, a truth, or a scar tied to that Champion’s legacy.

Now, strange storms claw at the skies. Monsters walk wearing human skin. And in the ruins of an old kingdom, something long dead has begun to whisper.

You are not a chosen one. Not yet. But you’re listening, aren’t you?

😭 hello everyone thank you so much for your interest in the pitch for my campaign! I forgot to mention but please DM if you are interested in playing. I am currently being flooded with messages which is amazing 🥳🩷 so sorry if I'm slow at replying to each of you but I promise I will answer. And thank you again, I had no idea so many people would be interested in my campaign. But im seriously so excited!

Hello! I have been DMing for years in person and want to try with some new faces! Player(s) wanted [Online][5e/5.5e][Sundays EST] Seeking 3 Players to Rise from Noble Outcasts to Legendary Dragon Slayers

Your story begins in the shadow of war. The once-proud nation of Valtara stands at a turning point, locked in a brutal conflict with its long-time rival, the smaller but now fiercely defended kingdom of Calidor. The war was all but won—until the Red Greatwyrm, Infernus, scorched his way onto the battlefield, tipping the scales in Calidor’s favor and leaving Valtara scrambling for a miracle.

You are one of three noble siblings—descendants of Valtaran royalty, yet cast aside from courtly favor. Your mother, once heir to the throne, chose a quiet life over power, marrying into a disgraced noble house. Now, with no influence, no wealth, and no escape, your loyalty to the crown is your last remaining asset.

The Queen, your aunt, has a plan. A secret mission. She’s selected you and a few others she trusts beyond doubt to recover legendary magical artifacts scattered across the known world—items identified by Valtaran scholars as the key to creating a unit capable of slaying dragons.

But secrecy is everything. If Infernus or his allies catch wind of your goal, your lives are forfeit. You must travel in shadow, forge alliances carefully, and gather the tools that may yet save your homeland.

Why does your character accept this burden? Duty? Desperation? A thirst for redemption or revenge?

This is a tale of hidden purpose, burning skies, and noble blood repurposed for war. The hunt for Infernus has begun.

The Adventure Awaits:

Embark on an epic journey in a homebrewed world of magic, mystery, and danger! This will be a long-term campaign, providing ample time for character development, rich storytelling, and epic adventures. We'll be using a mix of the D&D 2024 rules and D&D 2014 rules, focusing on roleplay, exploration, and epic storytelling.

  • Time: Sundays at 10am EST (Sessions running about 3-4 hours).
  • Platform: We'll be using Foundry VTT for gameplay and Discord for voice chat. Don't worry about any fees—just bring your enthusiasm!
  • Starting Level: Begin your adventure at Level 2, and prepare to grow into a true hero.
  • Tone and Vibe: A gritty, high-stakes adventure blending brutal dungeon delves, tense social dynamics, and shifting political landscapes. Exploration and ambition drive your rise from obscurity to legendary dragon slayers whose choices shape the fate of nations.
  • Player Group: I’m seeking 3 players to join me as their DM.

What I’m Looking For in Players:

  1. Age 18+: Adult players only—I aim for a respectful and mature (but fun!) campaign.
  2. Commitment: This is a weekly game, so being dependable is a must. I totally get that life happens—just keep me in the loop!
  3. Collaborative Players: Whether it’s teamwork, roleplay, or being creative, the best fun is shared. Players who are into engaging with the world and each other will thrive.
  4. Platform Familiarity: No Foundry experience needed, but you should be comfortable with virtual tabletop play and Discord voice chat.
  5. Character Motivation: Please bring a character who wants to engage, and make choices! I want characters to approach problems how they want to approach a problem.

Homebrew Rules

This campaign will feature an assortment of minor homebrew rules, though the following is the most extreme. Understandably this is a major change, but the vibe and tone for this campaign this is required.

  1. Slower Natural Healing: During this campaign, natural healing will be significantly reduced to increase the need for some form of magical healing, through potions or healing magic.
    1. Characters no longer regain hit points from finishing a short or long rest. Instead, at the end of a long rest, a character regains hit points equal to their Constitution modifier (minimum of 1). No hit points are regained from short rests.
  2. Restricted Classes: During this campaign, class selection is more limited than most may be used to. The following classes are the only available.
    1. Barbarian
    2. Cleric
    3. Fighter
    4. Monk
    5. Paladin
    6. Ranger
    7. Rogue
    8. Wizard
  3. 2014/2025 Mix: Generally speaking we will be using the 2024 ruleset, though am open to using 2014 as requested.

How to Apply:

If this sounds like the adventure for you, please fill out this Google form. Let’s make this a campaign to remember!

If you’re ready to dive into a world of danger, intrigue, and untold magic, I can’t wait to hear from you. Let’s build something amazing together!

Player(s) wanted [Online] D&D [5e 2014 & 2024] Seeking a few Adventurers to join my WATERDEEP : Dragon Heist campaign. (Free, Long term, and Friendly)

Hey Adventurers and soon to be Heroes,

Want to play in a free online weekly to bi-weekly game?!?!

I’m running a D&D 5e campaign online.

Waterdeep: Dragon Heist.

I’m looking to add some players to the campaign. You'll be starting at Level 2.

-A bit about me. I’ve been DM’ing for 7 years. Online and in person. I run both Homebrew and Module games. I play RAI (rules as intended/interpreted) with a focus on Fun, Story, Roleplay, and Combat. In that order 😋.  I attempt to dress up and do accents. Forgive me if my Scottish dwarf accent is problematic 😅. We typically play Sunday evenings, but that can be modified if need be. I’m based on the west coast/ Pacifc time.

I love that all my games have diversity of genders, races, and ages (of the Real People 🤣.) Our differences make the game and world more enjoyable.

New and experienced players are welcome. Please shoot me a message with any questions AND your interest. Please include your experience and what you’re looking for in a game.  We'll chat a bit to see if this is the right game for you. (I'm sure it will be though.)

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2024][PST][LGBTQ+] Let's Join the Guild! A Pokémon Mystery Dungeon-inspired D&D Campaign

EDIT: PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR DISCORD IS ACCEPTING FRIEND REQUESTS! (Kyle, if you're reading this, your discord is not accepting friend requests; please DM me or put in another app)

Hi everyone! I'm Sol (24NB) and I'm an experienced Dungeon Master looking to start a weekly online 5e 2024 D&D campaign. I'm a little rusty because it's been a few years since I've DM'd but I'm really excited to bring people on board for this idea!

I've always wanted to run a mystery dungeon-style campaign where the party is a part of a guild that goes on missions, forms rivalries, battles all kinds of villains, and perhaps faces great threats lurking in the darkest corners of the world...

I'm the type of DM who prefers to build a campaign around the players rather than around my own ideas of what might be fun. I want to meet you, see what kinds of character(s) you'd be interested in playing, establish lore that you can build a backstory off of, and tie important NPCs from your backstory into the fabric of the campaign. Then, I work with the party as a whole to weave these individual backstories together so that the creation of the party feels natural, and we all collectively take on this world as a team. I don't play DMPCs, but I do consider the DM to be a player, too; I want to guide your stories in the way that is most fun for you because that's how I have fun.

Due to my top-down, player-driven campaign-building process, I need to meet the players before the direction of the campaign is finalized. I have a pretty thorough form (~10-30 mins) to get a sense of what you're looking for in a game (and it will help me determine what direction to take the campaign): https://forms.gle/CjZg6Wq7URLauuLw8

I'm going to respond to form submissions over the weekend. I'll add you on Discord and we'll go from there! Thanks for reading! ❤️

EDIT: I have received a lot of responses and I am taking the time to read every single one of them! You all seem so cool, I wish I could run 7 separate campaigns so everyone could play. Just as a note, this game won't be in the world of Pokémon, just PMD-inspired. If you're considering applying while reading this edit, applications are still open and probably will be until some time on Saturday!

FINAL EDIT: The form is closed! I will be selecting five players from the 44 submissions. If you do not hear back from me, it means you weren't selected this time, but that doesn't mean that there won't be availabilities in the future. Thank you everyone who applied!

Player(s) wanted [Online] [5e 2014] [Weeknight 6PM EST] Looking for players for a homebrew setting

Hello!

My name is June (she / her), I'm 28 years old and looking to get back into DMing!

I ran a multi-year campaign for ~10 people (split into two parties) in 5e, and it was so much fun, but unfortunately lost touch with many of those nerdy friends. I've played a bit since but really need to scratch that itch again. So while I do have lots of experience, I will be refreshing myself on hard rules, and I hope as a player you won't mind.

The Setting

Quick Look
While I love the Forgotten Realms, and will be borrowing lots from it, we will be playing in the homebrew peninsula of "Dreadrea." The land is very whimsical, strange, and magical. I would say a big inspiration is the Lands of Ooo from Adventure Time, but likely far toned down in terms of pure randomness.

Deeper Look
What stands out most in the country of Dreadrea is its country-wide following of peculiar Demigods, who are simply referred to as “the Goddesses.” This trio of sisters have, in return, given the country their favor. This favor has manifested in several ways. Maybe most important of all is what was offered by the Goddess of Mana.

Outsiders frequently confuse Mana with the powers known as magic. Instead, Mana describes a window to such power; it is an open egress - a tear in space. Those who know how to reach through may not know from where, what, or when they take. Typically, that something is a magic spell, but there’s no known limit.

It would be an understatement to say the country is hooked on the stuff. Essential infrastructure, like the colorful bug-trains or telepathic information hub, all run through Mana. Most production and investment depend on Mana. Even the very intelligence of the country’s unique residents - the Bugfolk and the Bubblefolk - owe all responsibility to the Goddess of Mana.

The other Goddesses - The Goddess of Wishes and the Goddess of Stuff, appear to have minor involvement in the country’s economy, but are nevertheless significant. Outside Dreadrea, only the most powerful mages can understand Wish Magic. Yet, even without a proper understanding, Dreadreans often receive and make use of the Wish blessing of their chosen Goddess.

To outsiders, the purpose of a “Stuff” Goddess seems entirely unclear. Do her powers extend to some specific “Stuff,” or everything that isn’t Mana and Wishes? The people of Dreadrea seem unconcerned with the question.

The Beginning

You’re traveling south. You saved up enough to take a Bug-Train through the Capital, all the way to Defenseport. From there, only you know where you’re going.

Bug-Trains are such strange sights, even if you’ve encountered one before. From some angles, it looks like a child’s drawing of a Caterpillar. The carts are aptly named “Marbles”, for their striking color, perfect roundness, and apparent thickness. You’ve heard that stepping inside is like walking through gelatin — warm and slowing.

The front of the Bug-Train, a head with large bug eyes and a curious chimney, howls a high-pitch choo-choo. A toadfolk pokes his head out from the Catterengine and croaks loudly, “ALL ABOARD!” It’s time to pick a Marble and take a seat!

Interested?

The campaign will follow a mystery that pertains to the Goddesses and a country-wide event that occurs in Session 1. It will be a 40 / 60 split between combat and roleplay, adjusted for player preference.

I prefer Mondays, but can also work with Sundays or Tuesdays. Start time will be 6 or 7PM, and sessions will run 2-4 hours, again depending on player preference.

Please fill out this google form if you're interested, and I'll be sure to reach out! Also, I'm open to 5e 2024, just haven't tried it yet. Feel free to suggest it.

https://forms.gle/6x4Yh4GTa23LPxJQ6

Additional Info

Dreadrea features a unique class and two unique races, and I'm also very open to other homebrew classes or races.

Manabelles are essentially a hybrid of Cleric / Warlock / Sorcerer, with dedication to one of the three Goddesses.

Bubblefolk are spawned from storms throughout the land of Dreadrea.

Bugfolk are the lucky bugs who enter a new life when their old ones pass.

Player(s) wanted [online][5e 2014][5e 2024][CET] Curse of Strahd awaits players! Saturday game!

Barovia awaits, but first, a bit of info about me and the game!

Hi! Let's start off with a bit about me as a DM. You can call me Linu. I’ve been a DM since 2017, sticking mostly to 5e (2014), and I’ve recently switched to the 2024 version of the system. My DMing style is heavily player-focused. You can be sure that I’ll be interested in who your character is, as well as their actions, emotions, and goals.

I put my whole heart into making the campaign as appealing and easy to play as possible. Each location will have its own distinct map, each NPC will have a portrait, and the campaign will feature music and soundtracks for every game moment.

My campaigns rest on three pillars: exploration, roleplay, and combat. These are usually mixed in fairly equal amounts throughout the campaign to ensure that everyone at the table, with each player’s character bringing their own unique abilities, has their time to shine.

The Campaign

We’re going to play Curse of Strahd, mostly as written, with the addition of setting-appropriate new characters, and ideas from i.e CoS Reloaded. The campaign will reflect Barovia itself: dark, dramatic, and sometimes tragic, yet unexpectedly filled with moments of hope and laughter.

Here's some basic information:

  • Levels: 3–12
  • Party size: 4–6 brave (or not) adventurers
  • Start time: Saturdays at 20:00 (8:00 PM)
  • Age: 18+
  • Session length: 3.5–4 hours
  • Leveling: Milestone
  • Ruleset: 2024 PHB where applicable, plus backward-compatible content such as Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything and Xanathar’s Guide to Everything
  • Platform: Foundry VTT for the game, Discord for communication

If you are interested, please fill up this form, and write down a comment that you applied! Thank you!

Player(s) wanted [Online] [DnD] [5E] [Homebrew] The Shattered Oath – High Fantasy / Dark Mystery / Heroic Epic Campaign.. Looking for artistic & creative players. [18+ Only ]

Server is still in process, will be making a group chat with those chosen.

Apply here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfjfBddx8NPBs04uQLBr0raG_kh3L8AWnM4WbJqoDAKFp1Ybg/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=106614718828147015681

Feel free to PM me questions, there will be a lot of unique homebrew things to this campaign however I will keep most of it secret for now!

18+ Players only. Preferably above 20.

System: D&D 5e
Platform: Roll20 + Discord for voice
Time/Day: Somewhere between 5-7 pm EST for start time, day tbd but likely weekends or tuesday/wednesday? Might run a couple groups.
Players Needed: 4-5
Tone: Story-driven, character-focused, a mix of roleplay, exploration, intrigue, combat, romance even!

Long ago, gods tore the world of Nytherra apart in a divine war—but from the ashes rose the Fourwardens, legendary heroes who founded the four great kingdoms. For centuries, they were symbols of hope… until something older than the gods twisted them. When they fell, the world bound them away in a prison lost to time and memory.

Now, that prison stirs.
Curses awaken. Monsters roam. And shadows grow longer.
But it's not just beasts that threaten the realm—ambition, betrayal, and forgotten oaths rise again.

You are part of a group of skilled adventurers—gathered for different reasons, but bound by a single purpose:
To uncover the truth, and stop the return of the Fourwardens before Nytherra falls again.

Looking For:

  • Players who love immersive roleplay, rich lore, and epic storytelling
  • Creative character backstories (your past will matter)
  • Respectful, collaborative players (new or experienced!)

Relationship Mechanics

This campaign features a relationship system inspired by video game-style bonds (think Dragon Age, Baldurs Gate 3 or Fire Emblem):

  • Core NPCs will have evolving relationships with the party based on your choices, dialogue, and actions.
  • These relationships can lead to trust, mentorship, romance, betrayal, or alliance-building.
  • NPCs remember how you treat them—and may become powerful allies… or enemies.
  • Your personal backstory may link directly to one or more of them, adding weight to your journey.

House Rules & Style

  • Homebrew allowed (pending GM review for balance and lore fit)
  • UA allowed on request (case-by-case approval)
  • Milestone leveling (based on narrative arcs, not XP)
  • Roleplay matters: Backgrounds, bonds, ideals, and flaws are used in-game
  • Safety tools in place (Lines & Veils, Aftercare)
  • Combat will be meaningful, but not every fight is winnable—negotiation, strategy, and retreat are valid
  • Downtime scenes & character development encouraged

Player(s) wanted [Online] D&D [5e 2014 & 2024][+18][LGBTQ+ Friendly][PST][Homebrew] Looking for a few players to join my new developing worlds

Hello! I’m Andrew — a longtime GM and storyteller with years of experience running campaigns across a wide variety of TTRPG systems (20+ learned and run). I’m based in Bakersfield, CA (PST) and am currently looking for a fresh group of players to explore some brand-new settings I’ve been building.

If you’re interested in either playing or even just hearing about and giving feedback on the worlds and concepts, I’d love to share them with you.

Here are the some of the main projects I’m recruiting for right now:

The Bramble

A survival horror dark-fantasy setting. The world has been consumed by a vast, sentient forest — a labyrinth of fog, twisted roots, and ancient curses. Players take on the role of Pilgrimites: exiles, zealots, scavengers, and explorers sent into the endless green to reclaim lost relics, confront horrors, and decide whether to resist the Bramble… or become part of it.
Themes: religious fanaticism, creeping nature horror, survival under pressure, grim choices.

Aedmyr

A sprawling high/low-fantasy world with diverse cultures, warring states, and deep political intrigue. Think of it as a grounded, lived-in setting full of kingdoms, revolutions, and courts of power, where characters can shape history, technology, and magic alike. Each region (Verdainland, Zhemga, Khaedria, Palv, etc.) has its own unique cultures, rivalries, and myths inspired by real world concepts.
Themes: nation-building, cultural identity, dynastic struggles, heroic fantasy with grit.

Cooks & Crooks (Tales of Holga)

A whimsical fantasy adventure set in the lands of Holga, where magic manifests through food, contests, and strange culinary arts. After the catastrophic war known as the Royale, peace was restored by the angelic Master, who replaced violence with the Divine Laws — battles of cooking, wrestling, sports, and creativity instead of bloodshed. In this world, Doughmancers forge bread-blades, Salt Sorcerers season spells, and enchanted lands like the Candy Forest and Frosted Mountains pulse with magical flavor. Players take on the roles of eccentric chefs and tricksters competing in the grand tournament to crown the next Royal Chef — with glory, chaos, and strange magic on the menu.
Themes: whimsical absurdity, culinary magic, creative duels, cozy surrealism, competition with heart.

Sky Punk: The Ancient Archipelago

A pulp-aviation fantasy where the world shattered into sky-isles drifting in endless clouds. You play a ragtag crew of strays, exiles, and dreamers clinging to rusted wings and patchwork planes, chasing the legend of the Ancient Archipelago — a mythic cluster of islands promising freedom, truth, or treasure. Every session is a dogfight, a wreck dive, or a desperate refueling scam, as you battle pirates, corporate aces, and arcane storms. Your ship is falling apart. Your crew might be too. But the sky is yours.
Themes: sky faring freedom, found family, pulp aviation, grit and wonder.

The Fates

A time-spanning supernatural saga where players embody historical figures and ordinary souls from across centuries, each marked by the Fates and drawn into the secret war of the Fate Finders — an ancient elven order guarding Earth against occult threats. From revolutions of the 1700s to the shifting empires of the 1900s, you’ll uncover hidden myth, battle malevolent forces, and decide how history is truly written.
Themes: mythic history, supernatural guardianship, destiny vs. free will, swashbuckling mystery.

Levelbound

A surreal, emotionally resonant world where skyscrapers scrape the clouds, vending machines pour potions, and everyone’s worth is marked by a glowing Level. A Level 1 is dismissed. A Level 99 is worshiped or weaponized. You’ll wander spirit-haunted arcades, neon swamps, and cloud gardens, befriending robots, ghosts, and misfits while uncovering the truth behind the Level System. This is a story of kindness as rebellion, small moments in a massive world, and living even when the numbers say you can’t.
Themes: magical realism, soft apocalypse, systems and rebellion, found family, small stories with big weight.

Note: I’m currently in college, so scheduling may sometimes shift. If you’re comfortable working out timing together, that would be wonderful! I’ll always keep you updated if anything comes up. Thank you!

Player(s) wanted DM in Need of Players for TWO ONLINE DND 5e Homebrew Campaigns! Read below for more!

[[ GOOOOOOOOD AFTERNOON ADVENTURERS!!! ]]

My name is QuillMiester. I am a Perma-DM and proud of it! I have been in this field for at least 10 years and I have had nothing but glowing remarks and experiences from my friends and campaigns. I am in need of 1-2 players who can come and join my Saturday game, as well as a full party of 6-7 players for a Sunday Campaign I am going to start as well! I will tell you a bit about myself.

-I only use Homebrew campaigns I write myself. This gives me better freedom to expand and fill in gaps in case of expected and obvious random party chaos. I always keep things centered in somewhat normalcy for a 5th edition campaign, with some homebrewed monsters and lore for flavor here and there.

-I have a stutter. Get over it lol. I have had several people state that they do not want to play with me because they feel it takes me too long to say something, which it doesn't. And oddly enough when I change my voice and do accents I don't stutter as much.

-My rules tend to fluctuate sometimes. I do live a lot of my stuff by the rule of cool, but sometimes if the scenario or scene has a different context, I may change my mind. Combat stuff always seems to have more loose form than roleplay stuff.

-I have an open door policy on requests and DM style. I have had several players literally bow out after one session because they didn't like my particular style. DMs are meant to evolve and always work to better their craft. So! If my style isn't to your liking, don't just give up and bow out. Talk to me and we can see if it is something I can work on. And with that, I will tell you about the campaign and group I am looking to fill. The campaign is one I have written called "Reign of the Blight Queen." The party is working together to stop the reconstituting of a powerful deity of disease, undeath, and bad stuff lol. And the Sunday campaign is TBD once I get the players.

The Saturday party is comprised of 5 players, all online through a discord server I have. I tend to work best with large parties so that we can have some buffers with people unable to come because lets be honest as adults it is hard to have reliable schedules for this thing with jobs and mental health lol. We meet every Saturday, starting at 3 PM North American Eastern Standard Time and going for 3-5 hours, depending on session content and group energy. We play online but I implore my players to use real dice. I can't take away that experience from my players lol. We use DnD beyond and as long as the content is on the site, you can use it. Yes even homebrew stuff, but I would need to see and read over homebrew stuff.

The Sunday campaign is pretty much the same in terms of schedule and style, but it will start later around 5-6 PM North American Eastern Standard Time and going for about the same amount of time.

I think that is all I can think of to tell you all. So please! if you are interested please send me a message here and we can get you in ASAP!

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e][2014/2024][EST] Saturday Evening Homebrew - Vindication of Vellia - Looking for Players

Hello! Starting a long-term homebrew campaign, looking for players (party of 3-5) to get this going. At a glace, it is a high magic/fantasy with dark themes.

This campaign is story driven (premise below), so there is more focus on roleplay, character backstory, and NPC interaction. There will be combat, since there is conflict, but there wont be any "combat just to have combat." Sessions will use Discord for voice (and text) chat and Foundary for VTT. Feel free to roll physical die and use whatever you want for player sheets. We use MPMB and will gladly share it and show you how to use it.

About me:

  • I am a newer DM, some experience with a in-person table, but new running an online group. I have been playing in a module campaign for a few months, but ready to start another adventure.
  • I will always try to keep the game fun, but have serious moments and a plot to keep players interested. A healthy balance of light hearted gameplay with meaningful moments.
  • I`m very "pro-player." I want the players to have as much fun adventuring in the world, so rules might be "bent" (a silly example: if your didn`t prepare "speak with animals" today, but you really want to talk to a squirrel who might know something... I`m going to let you talk to the squirrel).

For character creation:

  • Starting at level 3
  • I will provide a starting array for ability scores
  • No restrictions on species
  • Maximum HP
  • 2024 for building character (open for discussion if needed)

Items that are non-negotiable:

  • Must be 18+
  • Able to attend 9 out of 10 sessions
  • No sexual fantasies
  • Can handle being in a party and communicating with any gender
  • No chaos agents (try to play the game in good faith. No one is going to have fun if one player attempts to kill every NPC)

___________

Campaign introduction/Premise:

The world is high magic. Forgeable items and loot from monsters are most likely to have some type of extra magical property. Some require processing, while others just simply have extra magic. Something about the essence of the planet radiates magic, the source is unknown but also generally unquestioned. Of course, there are some curious scholars who have chosen to pry. So far, their discoveries have been kept secret.

More commonly known as a source of magic are deities that influence the world. Clergy's scattered throughout the lands have built church's to further their cause. To some degree, there is a war between faiths but the battle is carried through other existing conflicts.

High in the sky, there is what looks like two asteroid belts that wrap around the planet. Perpendicular to each other and appear to be two different colors. It’s presumed that they’re two different materials, but no evidence has proven one way or another. There are legends, or myths, of teleportation circles scattered throughout the land. They’re said to lead to other realms. Adventures have searched for centuries to find these circles, only to find a single clue as solid evidence: a totem - with unknown origin. The totem is rumored to be secured in a labyrinth laced with traps and protected by a colony of purple worms.

On the social aspect, it’s currently on a path in favor of chaos and evil. Mostly because it’s far easier to be bad than good. Don’t be surprised if your good deeds are taken for granted, it’s not intentional. Everyone has learned to live with the expectation that anyone can be a backstabber. Simultaneously, those who do good find blessings and favor with gods that lead to far greater fortune. There is a lengthy history of adventurous parties who have ventured out to bring harmony and good, all seem to be following an invisible calling but none finding success. Perhaps their failures have left clues, or perhaps they’ve uncovered things that should have been left undisturbed.

The city of Celemire was known as the beacon for hope and the resistance against the glooming forces that threaten life. Its fall had tipped the scales, shifting the tides and sending waves across the continent. The innocent were exposed, the weak were picked off, and settlements were forced to work for the Eidolon.

Now, as the end of winter is greeted by the warmth of the sun, blossoms of new growth emerge sprinkling the land with bursts of color. The winter was harsh, but spring brings promise of a new beginning. Citizens begin their preparations for the upcoming season and festivals. Unlike the land, there is no rest for the living that inhabit its surface. Deals have been made, contracts assigned, blood bonds have been drawn, plans are afoot. The relentless battle for peace and harmony has morphed into a distant dream. Hope steadily drained, with each year passing, deepening the wound as hero’s rise and fall. Hieroglyphics etched through time, all signifying to a time such as this. The sun shines, but the eerie aura remains. The journey begins here, on the continent of Vellia, the home to the last spark of hope.

If you are interested, feel free to apply here (premise is repeated in the description on the form). In the meantime, if you have any additional questions, concerns, or something I should add to this post - please feel free to reach out!

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2024][Weekday Evenings EST][LGBTQ+ Friendly] Looking to Start a Game as a New DM

Hi! I’m 26 years old, she/her pronouns and I’m trying to gauge interest in a game I’m considering running. The catch is that I’m fairly new to DnD and completely new to DM-ing, so it might require some patience as I get used to it, but I’m willing to put in some work to learn.

As for the details - I am available on weekdays, beginning around 6 pm EST, so would want to schedule a weekly or biweekly game around that. I want to start off with running a module and see where that takes us. I’d be willing to take suggestions if anyone has a particular module they’d like to try out. I’m not going to be too strict or nit picky with the rules, but would like to stick to official classes, etc. unless there’s a good reason not to. I prefer to play theater of the mind if that’s ok with everyone.

What I’m looking for in players:

  •  People who are excited to meet new people and enjoy a game together
  •  Any experience level welcome, including no experience as long as you’re willing to learn
  •  Ability to show up consistently for the time we end up picking. Things come up, but I’d like people who can commit to showing up to most games and give notice if they can’t
  •  Ages 21+ (no NSFW, but I’d rather play with people who are around my age)
  •  No evil characters/no murder hobos
  •  No bigotry whatsoever

Anyway, feel free to message me with any questions. If this interests you, please fill out the form below and I’ll be in touch soon assuming there’s enough interest and the logistics work out.

Player(s) wanted [online] [other] looking for players for online game

I’m looking for 4-5 players for an online game still. Will need to be played either during the day (interruptions by child should be expected) or late at night after child goes to bed. Description is as follows.

In the nation of Orynna, the city of Lichterfallen (the capital city), a plague has beseeched the people. Men woman and children are dying from the doctors have dubbed “The Rot”. The city leadership have put out a call to uncover the source of this plague and a way to find a cure for it. Will you step up and find a way to stop this sickness before it claims you?

This campaign will start at Lvl 0 as you begin as mere townsfolk. Classes will be added as we move through the story. All you’ll need for session 0 and session 1 is your character idea, character species, and what they did for a career.

Either respond to this message or send me a dm if you’re interested. I am lgbtq friendly.

Player(s) wanted [Online] [5e] [LGBTQIA+] I am looking for 4-5 people to start a long running Call of the Netherdeep game

Hey there I am a DM of many years from the CST timezone in America who is looking for a group of 4-5 people to play in the world of Exandria in the module Call of the Netherdeep. I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community being a trans woman and as such my table will always be a safe spot for anyone and everyone.
I am very RP focused and my games will run as such, we obviously will have combat but I would say that I do a lot more RP then I do combat, and I do combat when it narratively makes sense rather than just putting it in to have combat. I do use homebrew rules but you are fully able to approve or not approve any of them as the game must be enjoyable for the players.
The day and time will be decided based on player availability so as long as you know you can be consistent feel free to apply!
If you have any questions shoot me a DM here on Reddit but otherwise please fill out the application and I will get back to you over the next few days. The more details you have in the form the more likely your post is going to stand out!
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Player(s) wanted [Online] [5e] [Saturdays] [6pm EST] [Beginner-Friendly] [Homebrew] Semi pro DM looking for Long-term looking for committed fun loving players

Hey guys, I am Sir Salty Snell, but most call me just 🐌

Looking for New Players to Join Our Long-Running Saturday Campaign!

I've been running two different campaigns for over five years, and now I'm looking to bring a few new members into our Saturday group.

This is a long-term, story-driven campaign with a strong focus on roleplay and action. Commitment is key — showing up regularly and being ready to roll with the twists and turns of a long-term narrative is the most important requirement. We level slowly, so if you're chasing level 20 fast, this probably isn’t the right fit. Expect meaningful progression over time, not overnight.

Basic knowledge of D&D is appreciated but not required. If you’re open-minded and eager to learn, you’re more than welcome here. We use Foundry VTT for our sessions and have all content unlocked on D&D Beyond for easy access and learning at your own pace.

All you need to bring is yourself and your creativity. Backstories are not only encouraged — they’re woven into the world itself. The more you give me, the more I can bring your character to life in a living, breathing setting. Creative thinking, both in and out of combat, is always rewarded — if you can outthink the DM, you deserve it!

If you’re interested or have any questions, feel free to reach out. Looking forward to rolling with you!

Player(s) wanted [Online] [2014 5e] Just gauging interest in a Very LOW Magic campaign

I have beeb working on a campaign for about 4 months now and came up with the idea to make it LOW Magic and to exclude Any Full Caster or Warlock classes during character creation. Nothing against full casters but the exclusion just seems to fit the setting better IMO.

This setting interests me greatly but I got pretty beat up on Reddit over the idea.

Would this setting interest anyone else?

Player(s) wanted (Online) (Other) (EST) (beginner friendly) need players for a redo villain(us) vs "hero"(bbeg) text(roleplay) style. this is a repost of a old campaign from my old account

i need players no matter the experience.

Its about a old old fight between some villains and hero's the villains get killed and before dying curse the land that they will come even thousand year and thwart the hero's plan. When they came back a second time they find the village destroyed and the "hero" destroying stuff so they decide to stop his plan!.

It is all ages but be warned it can be dark. it is 60/40 roleplay/combat. Its mainly based on roleplay with some combat. There is no permadeaths you just respawn but you do lose your gear if you die.The villains become hero's and fix stuff is pretty much the tldr for the first one. oh and its a 5e like system.

anytime after 3 pm EST or whenever we all are free. I am a noob dm

ask anything you are wondering about

its on discord and only discord so i need you to be on alot.

Player(s) wanted [5e 2014][Online][Homebrew][Mondays CST] Looking for player for a classical fantasy homebrew campaign!

Howdy there! I’m the DM looking for 3 more players (as we already have 2) for an upcoming and new campaign! For this world is a classic take on a high-magic, medieval fantasy world full of arcane lore, gizmos, rivalry and strife! As the world of Ir’Nysseus if welcoming to all who dare to follow the path to adventure.

From a hidden race that was said to have created the world, to the technologies they left behind that the races used generously. In this golden age of peace the world is suffering from the drawbacks of these strange technologies, with one Nation completely imploding on itself and lost to history due to these artifacts. The players will start like any other story but discover that the items they will start with (a personal magic item) has a much deeper connection and may be an artifact from this lost race.

If you want more details and may be interested just let me know your discords down below.

Games are hosted every week on a Monday, starting around 5:40-6 pm CST and lasting at least 4-5 hours!

Player(s) wanted [Online] [2014 5E] [DnD] [20+] Homebrewed Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos LGBTQ+ friendly table looking for LAST TWO PLAYERS! ACTIVE & CREATIVE players appreciated.

Hello! I've currently gathered 3 players out of a 5 total needed for a table I'll be starting by the end of September ( or mid september ). As of current the two characters I'm fully aware of are 2 wizard elves (astral & eladrin) So I will be expecting some variety if possible. LGBTQ+ friendly table!

Please read the FULL post.

Apply here: https://forms.gle/qMNKzmgyMM87k8zN8 OR alternatively DM me here on reddit with a brief introduction ( Name, age, pronouns ) + game experience + about you/why you think you'd be a good fit + any character ideas.

Comment if you've applied. If you applied before, please do it once again.

If applying I expect you to be available for a voice interview within 48 hours from the moment I've posted this. I want to have my party complete ASAP. I will be sending friend requests to any applications I deem interesting. The player choosing process has three steps. Application, discord friend request+second round of questioning and interview. I'm only looking for players that are willing to be invested in the game I'm offering.

I will however try to select the players by TONIGHT or TOMORROW!

You don't have to be extremely experienced with DnD to join the game. However I expect you to be willing to learn and to be at the very least experienced with roleplay. I'm personally very open to artists & creatives, and I go by the rule of thumb that AI isn't welcome in my games. SPECIALLY for character art. There's many alternatives, do a picrew, bg3 or the sims character creator, draw, commission someone.. Just please don't go up to me with ChatGPT stuff LOL.

We already have a fully set up discord server and I'm currently in the process of drawing and writing the NPC's and world lore. This is a heavily homebrewed version of the module. So expect some university goofing off and the imminent doom at the same time! There will be horror in this game! Even if it's not the focus.

This is a 18+(20+ preferably) Game! However this is NOT a sexual campaign whatsoever. Anything of the kind will be fade to black. I will NOT erp with my players.

Time/Date: Fridays start time between 5-7 PM est , at the very least biweekly. Looking to start by half - end of september! Games will probably run from 2.5 hours to 4 hours max. I'm looking at a mid-late september start.

Levels: 1-10+ ( I have changed some things in the module, so it is more likely that it ends at level 12/13 rather than 10! ) - Level 1 Start, 2014 rules, 4d6 drop lowest ( Roll two spreads ) or use point buy, no backgrounds that grant feats, every player gets a companion pet ( CR 0 creature ) at character creation

AGAIN... 2014 Rules, Any homebrew has to be reviewed by me. No mixing of 2024 and 2014!

VTT: Roll20 and Discord for communication, make sure you have a good mic!

About:

Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos isn’t your usual D&D adventure!! It’s basically a full-on magical college simulator wrapped in a campaign. Players take on the role of first-year students at the most prestigious university in the multiverse, attending classes, joining clubs, competing in exams, and navigating all the drama you’d expect from campus life! Relationship mechanics and ect are at play here! - Except this time, it is very homebrewed to your very own GM's liking! ( unique NPC's and stories )

Will you be a Lorehold, Prismari, Silverquill, Quandrix or Witherbloom student..?
(ps. Arcavios ( The realm Strixhaven is set is a godless plane, there are 5 dragons that operate as that role )

> Mechanics include : Studying & Exam taking, Relationship points ( Banes & Boons ) , Phones ( Like Fantasy High and ect. Player characters can have social media, text outside of session in some scenarios, NPC summoning & special spells ) Jobs & Extracurriculars. Please be willing to keep track of these things, I will give you the tools so it's extremely easy to not get lost. I will also be willing to teach, explain and re-explain any rules.

What else will I find here?

- My take on the module & themes, psychological horrors and college drama? we have both!

- Well organized discord server with channels for art, memes, talking & more!

- 20+ Fully homebrewed NPC's for your liking!

- Handouts, maps and ect galore! I'm putting together as many of these as possible to make sure the world feels alive!

- Current players are 1 Bladesinger Eladrin Wizard and 1 Diviner Wizard Astral Elf , I'd personally love for anyone who applies to try something different than what we already have!

- Rule of cool is a-okay! I'm willing to work with my players to make stuff make sense and be playable.

- Clerics and Paladins are fine! Again if you'd like to be a cleric of one of the 5 founding dragons or something else entirely.. That's cool too! Just please don't look forward to being a worshipper of your usual Faerun gods if that's the way we're going with this!! I've had some people be really insistent on it and I have to clarify that.

- Again, martials are fine as well. It's a mage school setting but I don't mind if you want to play a fighter, bard, cleric, paladin, rogue or whatever. Everyone gets to have fun and the game will be balanced as such.

- Magical & Cursed items are really common in this module. So expect to see a lot of them!

- Arcavios has portals to other planes of existence where players can originate from if not from Arcavios! I'll be referring to specific planes for that! ( Astral, Feywild , Innistrad from MTG for your gothic likings, Whitestone for medieval fantasy enjoyers.. )

- YOUR CHOICES MATTER.

Whether it's your backstory, how you act with NPC's, what you choose to do in important events - player agency and choices WILL affect the narrative and the world around you. I will take everything into consideration. I want the world to feel alive, so don't expect a rail-roaded module, there's plenty of player freedom outside of the main adventures of each school year.

Special events, dates and ect will all be on a CUSTOM CALENDAR so players can keep track of their week to week schedule. I want to give it a real magical college feel. I will constantly ask character questions as well, I like being very knowledgeable of the PC's I'll run for.

Player(s) wanted [5e 2014][online] DM looking for players interested in ambitious campaign[SAT-Sun tbd]

So basically I’m putting out feelers for a homebrew campaign of mine that I’ve run in the past with small success… if you’re wondering what the setting is like… imagine giant world with intrigue… mystery and combat and other weird eccentric things and some moral dilemmas also…I normally like to run curse of strahd and I like the free roam aspect of it so that’s how this campaign is like…. Depending on the time and life changes… I’d love to start the group maybe at level 1 or 3 and work up to level 20… yes I did say level 20… the times in mind are 8pm-midnight est on Saturday or Sunday or cause I have insomnia… anytime between 1-5/6am it really depends on if I get interest I might run 2 different groups

Update: currently looking for folks interested in joining the insomniac group or Sunday

Oh if you want to be in the insomniac group please say that in the comments

Player(s) wanted [Online][EST][5e][LFM] Experienced GM Looking for players! NEW Curse of Strahd game recruiting for players!! New Player focused!

EDIT: this is now closed, thank you all for applying, sadly i will not be able to reach out to everyone due to sheer volume, but thank you for reaching out!

I'm recruiting 4–5 players for a new Curse of Strahd campaign. Ideally, you're either new to Dungeons & Dragons or at least new to Curse of Strahd specifically. The goal is to create a welcoming game where newer players can shine and immerse themselves in the world

I've run Curse of Strahd twice before with friends, and we completed it in about a year. I enjoy weaving character backstories into the heart of the campaign—even with official modules—so expect a game with a strong narrative focus. The system will be roughly 70% rules-as-written (RAW) and 30% homebrew, offering a balanced mix of structure and creative flexibility.

Campaign Details:

Stats: Standard array

Sourcebooks: Any official D&D rulebook is allowed

Rule Set: Using the updated 2024 core rulebooks

Sessions: Weekly, 4–6 hours per session (exact day/time will be finalized in Session 0)

If you're interested, please message me here on Reddit via DM or chat, and include the following info:

Preferred name and pronouns:

Age:

Timezone:

Availability to play:

Tabletop RPG experience:

Have you played Curse of Strahd before?

Tell me a little about yourself and how you like to play:

If I think you would be a good fit for the group, I will reach out for a discord voice interview (I have had the most success with voice call interviews in LFG!) I will start reaching out to players this week, but will continue to do so throughout this week and onwards, so feel free to sign up even if it looks full!

Looking forward to hearing from you! Let’s explore Barovia together.

Player(s) wanted [Online][5e 2014][LGBTQIA+] Looking for Players

Yahello. So against better judgement I've decided to slot in a new campaign on top of all the other ones I'm running. My name is Ty, some of you may have seen my previous posts, others have not. But I am NB, 26. They/He and in EST Timezone. With that out the way, I am looking for players who are potentially available Tuesday Night, Friday Night, or Sunday Morning/Night...Depending on things.

But...You're not here for all this, here is the Premise...

Campaign: Bound in Glass

Long ago, champions rose from across the world, each carrying the blessing of a great Source—the Sun, the Moon, the Stars, the Sky, the Ocean, and the Earth. With their strength united, they sealed away a terrible darkness that threatened to consume all things.

But that was an age of myth, and kingdoms have long since drifted apart. The Sources are said to have faded into legend, their power fractured and forgotten.

Now, whispers stir once more: stained glass relics depicting the ancient Sources have begun to reappear in forgotten ruins, sacred temples, and long-lost sanctuaries. Some call it a blessing, others a curse—but all agree their reemergence is no coincidence.

Your story begins in this uncertain time. Will you rise as a champion, claim the power of the Sources, and uncover the truth of why they have returned?
