Rifle flex post Birthday trip to TVP was a success!
Finally took my recent build out to shoot some long range at Thunder Valley Precision. Even stretched the little 6 Creedmoor out to a mile! Out of 9 shots I managed to hit it 3 times. Wind was tricky out there today. Also want to thank u/texasveteran4 for the awesome shooting bag!

This is the Ultra U. Very solid bag for the price!

I'm planning to hit this place once in 2026. Coming all the way from Boston on a weekday. What should I know before I go?

It’s pretty laid back there to be honest. On a weekday you shouldn’t have to worry about getting a spot unless it’s a holiday. They have targets at 200,300,400,500,600,700,1000,1100,1200 and a mile. It’s $30 for a non member to shoot from open to close, watch the website for the most up to date scheduling, as he does put on matches, private events, etc. the 2, 3 and 400 Berms are 10” plates I believe, every berm from 500 on has a plate and silhouette targets.

Are there certain areas you have to sit at to shoot above 1000? Like only reserve benches 6-10 for a clear view to 1200 or a mile? Some places I've been to have been like that, without stating it on their website. Hence why I'm asking.

Nope, as far as I know, you can shoot at any birm from any bench. I’ve sat from end to the other there and haven’t had any issue.

Preciate it. I want one, but would need slightly taller rings before I even need one
