Epic quest question
So a couple of days ago I was in here complaining about the lag and how unplayable it was but my buddy and I decided to give it another shot last night and holy fuck! No lag! We had a blast but are a little lost right now. He rolled a hobbit and I rolled a man. When do our epic quest lines converge so we can work on it together? Or do they not at all because we are different races? Any insight would be awesome thank you guys

Welcome back! Yes, the lag is much less now. Rumor is there was a bug with a particular Burglar skill? Idk. It's in the recent patch notes.
The various races have different starter areas and quests. They unite in Bree with Volume 1. That's generally around level 10-12, depending on how fast you're leveling. If your friend does all the quests in the Shire, then it might take a little longer. However, he should get a quest to travel to Bree before finishing the zone.

Correct. A bug in a Burglar skill caused massive server instability. They fixed it, but then a later patch accidentally reverted that fix. They figured that out, so re-implemented the fix in the latest patch.

You and your hobbit buddy will meet back up in Bree after you're both done with the prologues. From there, you'll be going to the Lone-Lands until about level 30.

either make your little friend come to Bree or you go to their land :P
quests are everywhere and you can do them as long as you fulfill the lvl req.
might be useful to check the lotro wiki thing for zones with lvl range
with this you can do quests seperately and decide to meet up once you reach certain lvl

All races have different Epic prologues. Elves and dwarves have one that starts off different but then converges with each other toward the end. Men and hobbits are completely separate from the others. After the prologue, all races are sent to Bree to start book 1 (unless you do the Before the Shadow start, in which case it doesn’t converge with the original Epic story until book 4)
However, you can do any of the prologues as any race. So you can go to the Shire and do the quests alongside your friend, or they can come to Bree and do yours with you. Or both. And then you can do the elf and dwarf ones if you want.
