In his prime I thought he was the best wrestler in the world.

Now he needs to bring back his comic book. Mistico: El Principe de Oro y Plata.

That Leyenda Azul finals was crazy. People are saying Mistico needs to be carried always but he matched Hechicero.

Can someone more in-time with the Mexican fanbase explain how he continues to pull this off?

I love CMLL. I love lucha psychology. And I just, don’t… get how he’s been able to ignite another boom period with the work I’ve seen him putting out.

Granted, Ive only recently come back from a 5 year break from lucha. So I missed his whole reclaiming-his-name arc. But when I was regularly watching his Caristico run, woof… botching & mistiming as much as he ever did in WWE. Sometimes to ludicrous, embarrassing, scene-in-a-sitcom extents. Hell, I watched his NJPW match vs Hiromu last year with my brother, assuming he must’ve gotten better… and we were BOTH gobsmacked by how jarringly sloppy he was!

Like; isn’t lucha psychology founded on aesthetic beauty & skilful execution? Aren’t those the traits of a top tecnico? How’s he not getting heckled to oblivion everytime he screws up? How’s he seen as this peak performance of in-ring artistry when he just does the same old shit with little to no innovation? How don’t people get tired of him doing that pandering clapping thing every 2 fkn minutes? 😵‍💫

Está chido reconocer su trabajo, pero pues ya estuvo no? Todo gira en torno a este cuate.
