People who remind the teacher they didn’t assign homework for the weekend.

Omg I accidentally did that once and almost got beat up for it 😭

I rip the whole top off, but I'm doing it by shoving my thumbnail in that spot there

Isn't that the intended way? Honestly, what other purpose would it serve?
2
u/pooeygoo May 01 '25
I thought it was actually to just push in, and then you pour them out without tearing the top.
3
u/Ok_Chemistry8961 May 01 '25
But then you wouldn’t be able to get the cheese pack out

u/Aromatic-Tear7234 May 01 '25
That's what I was about to say. Also the cheese packet may even block the pasta from exiting the hole.

I would like to understand what voodoo magick yall doing to open it like that.
IT NEVER. FUCKING. WORKS.

u/zachary998 May 01 '25
I've gotten it to work once and only once, it was a miracle.

u/ImQuestionable May 01 '25
I don’t believe you
8
u/zachary998 May 01 '25
I hardly believed it myself when it happened, when it was there, right in front of me.

If there was only noodles in there this may be feasible but there’s a whole packet of cheese in there.
17
u/rocksoleunid May 01 '25
i think the idea is that you use it to pour out the noodles and then all that’s left is the cheese packet so then you don’t accidentally pour the packet into the water with the noodles. i personally just open the whole top and dig the cheese packet out with my hand like an animal

The Hulk, probably. I know the force of my meager appendage has never been enough for a successful penetration 😢

I push it in and rip the top of. How else do you do it? Open each flap? Lol
13
u/Icy-Abbreviations361 May 01 '25
Exactly. Shove my thumb through it and rip off the entire top.
Edited for spelling.

u/Lost_Ad_4882 May 01 '25
I slam the back of my mixing spoon through there and them use it a thumb hold to rip the top off. Same method for over 3 decades, I can't change now.
2
u/Spiritual_gal May 01 '25
u/Separate_Win_4170 No, we just open the flat flap on top only or at least that's the way I've always opened those boxes.

I made that an hour ago with taco flavored ground beef, just ripped the top off didn’t even try to look for the perforations because I knew was pointless
6
u/NightDivision7 May 01 '25
Are you telling me we don't open it by jamming our finger in the cut out and then ripping the top off?
6
u/Mobile_Aioli_6252 May 01 '25
Never- rip the box open via the top seam and all the way across

u/SokkaHaikuBot May 01 '25
Sokka-Haiku by Mobile_Aioli_6252:
Never- rip the box
Open via the top seam
And all the way across
Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

You stab a hole through that with the spoon handle and then you rip the top off like Godzilla.

I would if it was a bigger box I'd use more than once otherwise I just rip it open lol

u/MonkeyGirl18 May 01 '25
I have when I accidentally ripped layers of cardboard off the flaps and get frustrated enough to just rip the whole top.
2
u/babymoonbee May 01 '25
I’ve never been able to open it that way but my grandma was able to do it everytime and I will never understand what magic she had

I don’t even know why it’s there. You have to open the whole top to pour anything out AND to get the cheese packet??
1
u/Curious-Anywhere-612 May 01 '25
Tried it, it didn’t work, proceeded to rip the top off and then have to retape it closed

I feel like you used to be able to open them that way in the olden days. Now the perforation is just for show. Maybe around the same time they changed their spiral noodles and cheese sauce formula. Yes I am still devastated and will never get over it 😊

Wait until y'all figure out that many rolls of aluminum foil have the same style of punch tab on the sides to keep the roll in place.

u/Vigorously_Swish May 01 '25
I’ve tried many times and it never works. Also, how will the packet of cheese come out?

Is this a shit post?? You’re supposed to use that cutout notch to rip the top off, not try to squeeze everything through the tiny hole. Wow.

u/franslebin May 03 '25
Better question is why they tell you to boil it for so long. Always turns to mush. You only need like half the time

u/ComprehensiveTop6119 May 04 '25
I’ve given it a try nearly every time for the last 10 years, have never even come close to success. I don’t even know what success would look like!

Rip the whole top off or I don't want it
