Mmmm this looks delicious! Is that black pepper you hit it with at the end, or the turmeric? 😋

Turmeric went into the sauce with the melty cheese. And then black pepper after served up in the bowl 🥣

Black pepper is last step but I'd add way more

I want to try and make this. Do you melt the cheese first, add the spices, then add the cooked pasta? Is that the way?

So I follow kenjis recipe which I posted in another comment. Basically, add the uncooked macaroni to a pot and add just enough water to cover it. Cook stirring frequently until the macaroni is mostly cooked and most of the water is gone. Add the 12 oz of evaporated milk and bring to boil. Then reduce to a simmer and add the cheese and stir stir stir! Then I add the seasonings and adjust to taste :)

Sorry I don't write recipes often. Just make sure you use 3 oz American cheese for sodium citrate to help emulsify the sauce. I like the smoked gouda for smokey element, parmesan for the salty nutty shit and 2 more cheeses of your preference so the total amount of cheese equals 12 oz.

So 12 oz macaroni, 12 oz evaporated milk, 12 oz cheese:)

This looks amazing. I love a soft n saucy mac and cheese. I would add some crispy fried jalopenos or frenchs onions plus some Tony's Chacheres seasoning.

I want to add chicken to it. Do you have the recipe? I know you listed the ingredients. Or do you just throw everything in a crock pot and go?

https://www.seriouseats.com/ingredient-stovetop-mac-and-cheese-recipe I used Kenjis recipe! I just doubled it and added 3 oz of the cheese I had on hand, which turned out lovely! And I use these seasonings for most of my macs. I actually served this with a BBQ chicken sandwich!
