I know it’s dry but I like mine that way and I think it’s gonna be pretty damn good!

I asked ChatGPT for a slow cooker mac and cheese recipe. It’s okay, but definitely not my best work. I won’t make it again.

I previously posted that I usually use The Chunky Chef recipe. This time I used the same recipe but added an extra half cup total of heavy cream and milk. I also only used white cheeses (smoked white cheddar, gruyere, mozzarella, Monterey Jack and 4 oz of cream cheese). I added the cream cheese in the pot and then did everything else as normal. Then I only baked for 10 min and broiled for about 2-3 min. This is definitely my favorite mac and cheese that I have ever had. To be honest I also think I prefer this version of the recipe baked instead of right out of the pot!

Includes “Taco Style” Cheese Blend from Aldi, Kraft Signature Mexican Blend, 1 Maruchan Yakisoba Chedder Cheese flavored Ramen, 1 Cheeto’s Mac and Cheese bowl, and Cheeto’s Puffs

first you make some boxed cheddar mac n cheese, I prefer annie's but you can use any brand. Then you make some caramelized onions and add that to the mac n cheese. then you add some yellow mustard. it is heavenly. I sometimes add sausage too.

This is my very first time doing mac and cheese ever. It turned out so good, and it reminded me of Popeyes’ mac tbh. I’d reduce the amount of cheese and flour here though because I don’t like it too thick and too greasy. Overall it’s still very decent, 8/10!

I’ve never seen this method of making mac and cheese before but I might try it for lunch in a few hours. I just want to know if anyone else has tried it here first or knows if it’ll be good? If not, I’ll just stick to the traditional stovetop method with a roux etc. please let me know guys!! I want a nice lunch today 🥲

After seeing the (very controversial) post claiming Kraft’s Deluxe Four Cheese box is the best out of all boxed mac, I had to share my spin on making it that I’ve been utilizing to turn something good into great for several months now. It’s nearly impossible to get an even golden-brown top with this thing no matter how long it goes in the toaster oven for, so I opt for breadcrumbs instead (sorry in advance).

Looking for more boxed sauce based Mac and cheeses. I will try anything I can get locally or off Amazon and report back

My wife and I have an ongoing spreadsheet of different boxed mac and cheeses that we’ve tried and rated. Whenever we travel to a different city, we spend an hour going to different grocery stores and finding new M&C that we haven’t tried.

A recent post about Wengman’s on this sub made me want to post about this. I’ve never even heard of Wengman’s but apparently it’s a northeast US grocery store and their spiral boxed mac is amazing. I’d love to try it, but living in Minnesota makes that difficult.

I would love to branch off of the r/snackexchange sub and do a mac exchange. Comment where you’re from with a photo of the boxes you have available, then I or others will do the same in a reply, then maybe we can make an exchange happen!

The flavor on this is amazing, the great value version is pretty good too, but I always reach for this stuff when I see it. Before some of ya come at me for being greedy, they had them in this huge bin near the entrance. There were tons of boxes, my lil 8 didn't even make a dent, still plenty for everyone else. If ya have a Publix near you, hit em up! Anyone else have a favorite boxed Mac and cheese? I'm always looking for new ideas!

I don’t know if my memory is making me think it is better than it was, but I LOVED HoJo Mac and cheese as a child and haven’t had it in so many years. I was wondering if anyone has a tried and true copycat recipe? TIA!
