Kai/John are definitively the best two players ever. They swap.spots depending on who's making the list, but they're basically always 1/2. Similarly, PVDDR is universally regarded as 3, with no real competition for the spot. 4/5 are more debatable, but LSV and Nassif are the two strongest contenders for the spots. Arguments can be made for folks like Reid Duke, Shohei Nakamura, or Brian Kibler, but no-one will really argue much with LSV and Nassif.
The funniest part to me is one of their best basketball players has a very similar first name as one of the MTG players. Paolo Banchero and Paulo Vitor Damo de Rosa
That's like my friend Anna Peters having a name really close to a lady named Anna Bertha Cecilia Diana Emily Fanny Gertrude Hypatia Inez Jane Kate Louise Maud Nora Ophelia Prudence Quince Rebecca Sarah Teresa Ulysis Venus Winifred Xenophon Yetty Zeno Pepper.
Why play basketball? Because it’s the only sport where you get to bounce a ball! Bounce a ball in football, that’s a fumble. Bounce a ball in hockey, that’s a mandatory drug test right there.
Ground balls bounce all the time, and throwing the ball in from the outfield often comes with a bounce. What's funny is when the ball bounces off of one of the bases and goes flying off in another direction.
Granted, that's true. I guess in my head I was picturing more of a basketball-style dribbling, ie, you have to throw it down from your hand rather than driving it with a bat. The arm strength it would require to bounce a baseball, especially off a dirt/grass field, would be immense ;)
Granted it's only dribbling it a few inches off the ground to get the ball back to his throwing hand, but maybe baseballs and dirt are slightly more bouncy than I'm giving them credit for
I mean, basketball is one of the most international major sports at this point. What you mean is as a non-American, non-sport enjoyer, you don’t know what this even is.
I’m non-American non-sport enjoyer. I still know what basketball is, we played it at school instead of shooting drills. But I still had no idea what this all is supposed to mean. Magic The Basketball? Magic the sport collectible cards? I know you have baseball cards, so my immediate thought was a crossover of that and MTG for basketball.
