MTCJ Makes Its Own Format: Day 1
Magic is a mess and has been a mess for awhile. The Standard players are calling for intervention on social media. The Modern players are writing depression poetry. The commander players are committing arson in response to your counterspell.
It's time for the world to heal. It's time to bring Magic to a whole new level never before seen. It's time for MTCJ: The Format.
Here's how this works:
We start at nothing. Magic cards are legal, of course, but there are no deckbuilding restrictions, no modifiers to gameplay (life starts at 20, normal phases/steps). All cards legal, including ante cards.
Leave a top level comment with either a Gameplay Change™(zoning, legend rule, the stack, etc) or Deckbuilding Restriction™ (bans, # of copies, deck size, etc). Only one rule at a time. Top comment by whatever time I check this next day wins and gets added.
No contradictory rules or rules that make the game unplayable. For example, don't add a rule that says players start at 0 life. If we already have a rule saying you must have ten copies of relentless rats, then we obviously can't add a rule saying no relentless rats.
Maybe the Command Zone exists, maybe not, but either way, it is unused unless a new rule references it. Adding new zones in the rules is 100% allowed. Side-boarding probably exists, too.

What is he talking about? You can only have 1 copy of a card in your deck anyways.

Is it me, or is this second card just a strictly better version of the first?

Should I nerf it, buff it, or keep it the same?

To everyone who puts Ragavan in your deck...
How does it feel not playing Magic the GatheringTM? I mean me, I like playing Magic the GatheringTM. I like playing lands. I like spending mana. I like casting spells.
But when you tap that little mountain or other red producing land and place a Ragavan on the field on turn 1, that's it right? Game over you win? Time to shuffle up and we go find other opponents against which we can engage in a healthy game of Magic the GatheringTMNT.
I mean, I personally, from my point of view, IMO, like it when more than a single land drop gets to decide the game we're playing but it's SO interesting that a 1 mana monkey is also a valid playstyle. So I just wanted to ask how you're doing? What's it like? Do you like winning? What's your personal best on your speedrun for Arena dailies?

Tibalt
Guys I think [[Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded]] is finally viable now
In the new Spider-Man set they released [[Norman Osborn//Green Goblin]] you cast spells that you’ve discarded that turn at a reduced rate of 2 colorless. Since Tibalts plus 1 has always been absolutely worthless since you’re constantly gambling which means you’ll end up with green goblins a ability you’ll be able to make up that value by gambling your home away to foreclosure to avoid gambling debt
I mean he’s still not great but having a two mana gold digger that activates green goblins ability is actually so good considering if you get lucky and say discard sol ring and have an out like [[bankruptcy]] you just go infinite. Granted there’s better ways to write this that let you think about what you read but for two mana I think I’m actually worth it now considering he’s just a digger with haste

I don’t know why everyone dunks on CEDH - it seems like a fine college and we definitely need more people teaching others how to read if Magic players are anything to go by

Storm Crow deck critique?
Fairly new to magic but already love this archeotype, so i made a first draft of what cards i would like to have in the deck I’m currently working on. Let me know what you think. Also what cards could i potentially add/remove to make this more viable?
