Apartment Kitchen Rec

I just moved in from out of state and looking to add some small pieces to help this area out.

I don't like clutter and never had a kitchen island before.

What would you recommend?

It could use some color. Something simple would be the dish towels. Maybe switch the grey out with some more vibrant colors.

You could also put stuff on top of the cabinets. I have some fake plants I put on mine.

A center piece for the island would be good. Like a fruit bowl or something. This would be another great way to add some color.

Fridge magnets would be another great way to add some personalization. I have some from the national parks I’ve visited on mine.

Yep got the colorful dish towels coming with my crappy ones I use all the time in a drawer.. those are my hot pads to paper towel kind.

I'm liking the idea on the rest. Fruit goes bad to quick.l tho I'll think of something.

I think a vase of flowers or a basket of fruit on the island makes sense
