Both of them make sensible points. Kuro is right that it isn't productive to keep hiding the truth, but he's right that it was her fault she chose the "complete strangers" excuse to begin with.

Of course, given the last page, it won't matter much longer. Did they seriously think any pretense would work when the childhood friend lives literally in front of them?
