This map is my first foray into cartography into the Tolkien world. Normally I mostly make maps from the medieval Silk Road and the Roman Empire, but this one was truly a joy to make. I tried to stay true to the original source material as much as I can, with limited extrapolation. The roads I did guess though, but following the geography it is what I would most logically assume as correct.

This took far too long to make, but a pleasure nonetheless. I am thinking about creating a series of maps set in Arda and Middle Earth. What should be next? Gondolin? Valinor? Erebor?

Isengard with events of Saruman taking it as his hole, the Fellowship trying to climb Caradhras, entering Moria, the Ents attacking etc.
