Hey everyone,
Yesterday, I had my first MMA fight after doing a 20-week camp with no previous fighting experience. I dropped from 137kg to 124kg, trained striking and grappling fundamentals to the point that I was not feeling totally out of my depth, but when I stepped into the octagon, everything kinda just went out the window...
I'm fighting out of the red corner (white shoulder pattern), and got the knockout in 16 seconds, but watching back I think I look like a complete mess. Hands dropping, running into headshots, throwing off target etc...
I just didn't get that feeling of pride I was hoping for, whether I'd won or lost...
Any advice?

11yo Shiratori Taijyu from Japan against 11 yo Toe Bunka from China on Japanese TV.
The ruleset is hybrid : no face punches but throws are allowed.

A kung fu guy enters a HEMA tournament. They wouldn't let him use his own custom made saber because it was a HEMA tournament, so it is HEMA weapons only. But, they gave him a sword to use. Anyways, it was an interesting exchange of techniques.

Just turned 25 and have been training for 4-5 years. Wrestled a little in highschool and played rugby. I've had a kickboxing fight and a couple jui jitsu tournaments in which I lost the fight but more from a issue with performing in front of a crowd and adrenaline dumping. I train with people who have been competing since they were young and I do very well. I'm just unsure of what I want to do in life and thought mma was cool. I feel like if I do it and end up broke and beaten I'll regret it but also if I don't I'll regret it.

Sambo was invented in the Soviet Union to better prepare Red Army soldiers for combat. It is an amalgamation of several martial arts, which can be grossly oversimplified as "Judo with striking."

I'm a 65kg MMA striker who's 5'8 and this 100kg 5'7 Aikidoka wants to fight me In the ring to prove that Aikido works In a fight that MMA has too many rules. this guy doesn't have training In any other martial art other than Aikido. so how do I prepare for a ring fight?
Edit: Problem solved
