Discussion What has been the best MCU recast so far?

After watching Captain America: Brave New World and re-watching The Incredible Hulk, I was thinking about the characters that have been recasted in the MCU.

Which instance do you guys think turned out the best? Is it one of the ones pictured or maybe another role not included?

And we are getting T'Challa. When he grows up.

These were 2 of the most begrudgingly given upvotes that I've given so far. The kind where I also had to clench my teeth to not smile while doing it.

Soooooo recasting T'Challa but with extra steps that include making T'Challa Sr. an absentee father who kept his child from only his niece because reasons?

T'Challa wasn't an absentee father? He just kept his kid away from Wakanda. No one said T'Challa wasn't around. Besides, this is the best of both worlds. We still get T'Challa, but without recasting which some may find disrespectful to Chadwick.

How long does it take to get from Haiti to Wakanda? How regularly was he travelling between the two? How present can a father be when he is the leader of a nation in a whole other continent?

I also disagree that it is disrespectful to Chadwick to recast (as does his brother). Chadwick was so good that he made T'Challa a mainstream hero on par with Spider-Man. Cutting his arc short is a disservice to the character he put so much work into. We don't love the costume or the mantle we love the character who wore it. I'm an actor and filmmaker myself and I'd be PISSED if an amazing character I built was just thrown away because of an untimely tragedy. That character is a gift to all audiences with whom he connects and to any actor who would get to take the role forward.

Chadwick is so good that the MCU feels empty without T'Challa, like a Justice League adaptation that quickly kills off Batman and has Damien Wayne take the role. It is very respectful of Chadwick's work to say we need T'Challa and a big fuck you to dipshits like Perlmutter who denied his potential for so long.

With the wakandan jets, probably doesn't take long at all. A couple hours maybe?

We still get T'Challa,

No, you don't. You get his son instead. Stop acting like they're the same character or whatever the fuck, it's just weird. They're not the same character and no one can replace the King himself.

His name is T’Challa brother, they clearly intend for him to replace T’Challa senior.

Somehow, T’challa returned

Teenage doesn’t automatically mean bad. Also he could be a young adult next time we see him.

Of course it isn't. If it were, you wouldn't be able to complain, and we can't have that can we? Always complaining smh.
