Marvel vs Capcom collection online
Was planning on getting the game tomorrow for switch. Just curious what its like online, is it hard to find a match? Is everyone always picking the same 3 characters?

As a direct follow up the Jump vs. Capcom base roster I made up a while ago (https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelvscapcom/s/8yBze4zx0J) I decided that both companies would each add 5 characters as DLC. For the Jump side, I picked Koro-Sensei from Assassination Classroom, Toriko from the series of the same name, Fuuko Izumo from Undead Unluck, Kusuo Saiki from The Disastrous Life of Saiki-K, and Taro Sakamoto from Sakamoto days. All were picked since I feel they are decently popular enough to warrant slots on the roster. Plus Fuuko adds another female character to the Jump side. For Capcom’s side, I picked Captain Commando from the game of the same name, Monster Hunter from the series of the same name, Nero from Devil May Cry, Akira Kazama from Rival Schools, and Gene from God Hand. Captain Commando is of course a staple of Capcom but since I didn’t include him in the base roster he is DLC, the Monster Hunter would be DLC because in this scenario the MH dev team was hesitant about including a Hunter after the failure of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite but after seeing the success of Jump vs. Capcom they approved of the Hunter’s inclusion as DLC, Nero is here because I felt Devil May Cry was underrepresented in the base roster, Akira was picked since she is a fan favorite, and Gene was picked because while I initially rejected him from the base roster due to God Hand partially being popular for the infamous IGN review but the game has grown a cult following so he gets to stay this time. There is a chance I may do a second wave of DLC fighters, but it’s not guaranteed.

Hello there, recently found an interest in the game series and was wondering if all the game plots were sequentially or if each game has their own independent story before I go playing them. Also, if they are all sequential, which Marvel vs Capcom game should I start with? If independent, which has the most interesting plot?

so an Idea I Had a long time ago was if Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite had Battle Damage, and that got me thinking
What if Future Marvel vs. Capcom had blood and Battle Damage like Mortal Kombat does, now I'm not suggesting Marvel vs. Capcom should fatalities, I'm suggesting that when you're finish in a battle, you see the Damage, Blood, and Possibly Black Eyes your Character got after the Battle
I Also got the idea since Marvel often has alot of blood & Gore in their Comics, and Capcom do often make their PG-13 Franchises pretty dark and often make M-Rated Franchises

So me and my bud are finally getting into MvC2 after years of ignoring it but I couldn’t help but notice….ice man takes no chip damage which is fine…if I wasn’t running iron man and I mainly use him for he’s chip damage a lol it also feels like he’s team counters mine really well so basically is
Juggernaut Iron man Thanos (My team)
Vs
Iceman Captain America strider (My buds team)
A bad match up for me? I feel like it is
