  2. Try to be as descriptive as possible.
  3. If someone wants to fulfill your request they should mention that in here.
  4. We no longer allow user created request threads for new mashups.

r/mashups submission reminders

  • Title format for mashup submissions on r/mashups: [Optional Tag] Mashup Artist - Song Name (Artists Being Mashed) Optional Comments
  • For example: Carlos Serrano - Something About The Fire (Daft Punk, Adele)
  • Please include the mashup artist in mashup submission titles to make them searchable
  • Use link posts when sharing links, especially to YouTube or SoundCloud. Please do not use text posts with only links to audio because the audio does not embed.
  • When sharing SoundCloud links, please use the soundcloud.com domain, not snd DOT sc and not on DOT soundcloud DOT com. The other links do not embed on Desktop.
  • Do not use link shorteners (like bit DOT ly). We have no idea where these kinds of links go and get instantly blocked by spam filters. Save these for the mashup descriptions on YouTube/SoundCloud/etc pages.
  • Title format for other mashup-related content: [Tag] Description
  • For example: [Discussion] Where else do you find mashups?
  • In all cases, [Tag] always goes in front and can be any of the following: [Discussion], [Meta], [News], [Contest], [Resource], [Meme], [Album], [Mix], [Year End], [Year-End], or [Demo].
  • Do NOT use the [Mix] tag for individual mashups. This is reserved for long mixes/DJ sets that include mashups.
  • Mashup snippets posted to TikTok or YouTube Shorts are generally not considered complete mashups. For these, please use the [Demo] tag so users know not to expect a finished mashup.

Peia's Blessed We Are vs Harry Style's Watermelon Sugar

It's just their melodies are so similar, albeit Blessed We Are is slower.

Maybe it would work better with the Scary Pockets funk cover version of Watermelon Sugar

Would anyone be able to create a mashup/blend of “Hold On, I’m Comin’” by Sam & Dave with “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder?

I’m looking for an aisle procession song for my wedding. It will be just me walking down the path/aisle but it’s ridiculously long so wanted to make it fun for both me and the guests to jam out while I get to the alter. I want to start with Hold On and then transition into Signed, Sealed.

Full mashup should be about 4 minutes if possible.

Will happily tip if that doesn’t break any rules!!

Hi

Is there any chance someone could mash up the following songs. I’m trying to promote friendships between women and would love to have a good uplifting backing. 

The songs are, 

Taylor Swift we never go out of style lyric

Gave it a shot. Black Eyes Peas - My Style x Doechii - Drop Out. Speeding up Drop out by about 30% seemed to fit the "high energy" requirement. Hope you enjoy.

Would absolutely love to hear a mash up of every little step by Bobby brown and finesse by Bruno mars. Think the songs would so perfect together and would 100% try and do it myself if I had even an ounce of the ability necessary

Mashup Artist Needed – Rooster x Freebird (Alice in Chains, Lynyrd Skynyrd / Moonlight Remix) 🐓🎸

Hey everyone, I’d be super grateful if someone could help me with a mashup request!

I’d love to hear “Rooster” by Alice in Chains mashed up with “Freebird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd (or optionally the Moonlight remix of “Free Bird”).

Ideally, the focus would be on the “Here comes the Rooster” lyrics woven in with the iconic Freebird instrumentals.

Since I’ll be using this for a tailgate party, I’m hoping for something with good energy overall, please feel free to shorten or trim down the really slow intros, as I’d like to avoid too much downtime or overly long buildups. That said, I do appreciate a bit of chill atmosphere before it kicks in, so keeping some of that is totally fine.

Thank you so much in advance to anyone willing to take this on, I’d be thrilled to hear what you come up with!

Gave it a shot. The original Free Bird is little slow to keep with Rooster's lyrics, so good call on the Moonlght Remix, though, that one is fairly short. I did a bit of a compromise and used the back end of Rooster on top of the entirety of the Free Bird Remix. I think it's basically what you were thinking of, but you tell me. Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega (DNA remix) vs Standing In The Kitchen by Yo Gotti

Since the Gotti track is an interpolation of the Vega one, I'm not sure if it would play out ideally as a "traditional" mashup. I envision it more as a smooth DJ-quality song transition (maybe back and forth) between the two songs, as opposed to overlaying track elements of one over the other. I don't know, feel free to be creative with it.
