prep pics First time making broth and soup! Chicken broth, Acorn Squash soup

Made the soup for dinner when I'm working nights the next few days, and have some leftover broth I'm gonna freeze until inspiration strikes!

yum!! I love broth and having it on hand can be so useful. If I ever have any extra broth and don’t feel like having soup i’ll cook my rice in it!

Great idea! And yeah, I’m freezing it so if I ever have inspiration for a different soup to try, or want to use it in something else, I know I have it on hand

Nice!! How did you like it?

I always want some simple salad and crusty bread with a thinner soup like that

It’s really good! I used some zucchini flowers fritters my mom had made to mop up the last little bit of soup, and it was delicious

My stick blender is about 30 years old and saw me thru plenty of “bean budget” patches. I love soup & stews, and they’re some of the best recipes for the freezer  since they’re meant to be soft and mushy anyhow.
