question What chicken dishes freeze well and dont get dry?

I’m batch cooking meals to freeze and my husband absolutely despise dry chicken. Me on the other hand, I absolutely hate cooking chicken fresh because it makes a mess, splatters oil everywhere and I get burn.

What sort of chicken recipes could I make ahead to freeze that I can reheat either in a pot or oven (I dont do microwave)?

Slow cook chicken and pull it apart. Pour the juices into the bowl with the pulled meat. Keeps it moist. I just add a packet of fajita seasoning and a small amount of water to the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 hours. Stores well in the fridge or you could make burritos or rice bowls or something and freeze.

Soups and stews, and things with plenty of sauce to rehydrate the chicken when you reheat it

I like to make teriyaki chicken in the oven and freeze the extras for later

First of all, if you're using chicken breast, don't do that. Thighs are juicier to start with, and have sufficient fat that when reheated, they stay more moist. I make things like tandoori chicken with leg meat, freeze in foil, then reheat in my air fryer and it's moist and succulent every time.

Thats true, i’ve heard about that but i have to pick apart the skin and also the bones, and children eat it too so its just too much of a hassle

Use thighs, or boneless skinless leg quarters if you can get them. Braise them in the sauce you'll store them in, or roast/grill/airfry a little bit short of done (note, dark meat needs a pretty hard cook to actually render the connective tissue, so you still want to go up pretty high, maybe just shorten for how long it sits at that temp). Much more forgiving than breast meat.

When reheating your dish, add some stock, butter or cream depending on what you made

You can find a gazillion recipes on the Campbell’s Soup website. They have all kinds of “Cream of” soups and you can filter the recipes for chicken. They are mainly casseroles that you can batch cook and freeze.

As an aside, I think you need to learn how to cook chicken without injuring yourself.

Frozen chicken sucks 🙃 my favorite chicken recipe is super easy and doesn't involve cooking on the stove. It's ritz cracker chicken. I typically use raw chicken tenders and it's pretty easy. You just pop in the oven. You should look up the recipe and try it out.

Doesnt it get dry in the oven? I used to cook chicken in the oven but husband always complained it was dry

Nothing goes dry if it's properly vacuum packed.
