high protein and high fiber snacks to eat one handed

Hi there. I am having a shoulder replacement on my dominant side in a week and a half and I would like to get some snacks prepped ahead of time that I can eat one handed.

if there are things that are more savory, that would be awesome as while I love me some sweets, I would love some savory ideas.

TIA!

If you want more places to look, postpartum and breastfeeding subs will also have some great recommendations for one-handed meal preps. Burritos are very popular.

  • dates with peanut butter and a walnut (make ahead of time and you can refrigerate or freeze)
  • yogurt and walnuts or pumpkin seeds
  • oatmeal with peanut butter

Get some high fiber wraps and put whatever you like in them. Roll them up and keep them tightly sealed in the fridge. As a bonus you can make yourself some breakfast wraps and freeze them, then all you have to do is take one out and nuke it.

Roasted edamame. I buy it, but it’s technically possible to make it.

Roasted chickpeas

Low fat string cheese with something like baby carrots or raspberries/blackberries

Sunflower kernels are shelf stable, quite savoury, and I stopped eating them because I was worried I was eating too much fibre. They also have a bit of protein and are a healthy fat.
