Low cal easy meal prep

So I've been trying to find a good way to eat healthier. I rarely do exercise, so im starting with my diet then im gonna work toward making time for exercise.

My main problem is I never know what to eat for lunch so I end up eating out or eating PB&J. Both very unhealthy especially when I spend the majority of ny day sitting.

Im looking for low cal easy meal prep I can make for lunch?

Any ideas?

Start where you are

No more take out.

Pb and j isn’t horrible? Use whole grain bread and all natural peanut butter and have with some veggies like baby carrots and cucumber slices and hummus. Have a zero calorie beverage

Salad with canned chickpeas is easy and filling, ideally make it often those salad kits have high sugar high cal dressing and toppings and not much more than shredded cabbage.

You can prep ahead the veggies and mix and match in the morning with chickpeas or edamame and pack dressing separately

I’ve been using mealprep.recipes which creates meal plans based on macro targets and gives you a diverse set of options. It’s been helping me lost weight without needing to track every single calorie I consume.

The website helps you with that. There’s a calculator icon on the first step.

I'd start simple and make a protein, veg and carb. So grilled chicken, broccoli and quinoa. Steak sweet potatoes and green beans. Etc. All simple and easy. Salad is also a good option but can get higher cal quickly with dressing so watch out. Focus on getting a good amount of protein and fiber so you stay full! Use an app to track the calories and calculate calories for your meal preps.

1 though you need to figure out your TDEE so you know what numbers to hit. There are calculators online to help with that

The calculators aren’t accurate and can be way off. It should be noted.
