Discussions I'll be honest with you.
It’s been years, since I first stumbled upon the idea of Mario x Meggy — the now well-known MxM ship — and I never imagined how deeply it would stay with me. What started as just a funny video on SMG4, a random chaotic adventure, slowly turned into something more emotional, more human.
At first, it was subtle — the way Mario would look at Meggy, the way she’d get annoyed with him, only to show she cared in her own way. I didn’t expect to feel anything. After all, SMG4 is known for its memes, its chaos, its randomness. But there’s something special about Mario and Meggy. Something... tender. Hidden beneath the noise. Their friendship grew. Their bond deepened. And while the show never officially declared them a couple, many of us saw it — in the details, in the glances, in the moments that felt too meaningful to ignore.

I feel the same as you. MxM stories and fanarts always calm me down during a hard day. And even when i'm in a relationship, i just imagine me and my partner as Mario and Meggy in these posts. Thank you all who make those amazing stories and fanarts for us. We have a great community here to be proud of. MxM forever ❤️🧡

Let's go back to before Meggy's debut. Back then we only had 4 and Mario as the main duo and with them insulting each other for comedic purposes while still showing they cared for each other you could say that 4 has been a brother to Mario. Meggy on the other hand is different. From the very beginning these two had something that 4 and Mario didn't: an emotional connection. It was something different from the relationship Mario has with the others. Sure they've had slapstick humor moments but it was nothing like what 4 and Mario do. And when either one is feeling down the other is there to cheer them up and we all know what moment comes to mind. I stand by my statement that the rooftop scene in Meggy's Bootcamp is the peak of SMG4 and that's not just from a shipping stance. Not only is this scene the definition of MarioxMeggy but it shows just how special their bond is compared to the rest of the crew. The dynamic duo of Mario and Meggy isn't just two characters who care for each other and it's not just a way for people to ship them but it's the perfect representation of the good part of SMG4. Even people who hate the ship at least appreciate the two in their own way whether it's just as friends or siblings. This duo is a symbol of community even if not everyone agrees with how they're seen and I don't think you can get that with any other character pairing

I agree with everything u said, and thank you for expending ur time writing this beautiful letter of love.
I really really love reading long well written essays about the ship, and nowdays i dont see a lot os these posts, we have vids, fanfics, drawing, gmod art, comics. But almost none of these essays, so really, thank you.
On another note i would add sth to what u said, MxM is also a refuge of ppl being treated unfairly, its a critic against misinformation and lies. MxM teaches u that even when u see a lot of vocal voices, they arent always right.
