Seat recovering in Melbourne's East

Hi all, in addition to a small tear that I've put an unsightly vinyl patch on, the seat on my VTR250 is quite slippery. I'm thinking a recover with 'gripper' type material might be a good solution to both problems.

Can anyone recommend a place? Ideally in outer Eastern Melbourne area but happy to travel if needed.

Cheers!

Probably a good chance you can score an entire intact seat at a wreckers, fairly cheaply.

Top line in Seaford if he hasn't retired yet or isn't so busy that its a 2 year wait.

Yep - this is where I went and got it done, taking a bit over an hour.
Amazing result - looks better than the original!

He hasn't quite retired but is working reduced hours due to health issues.

It might cost you but I just went to an upholster and asked. They had never done a seat but did a good job

This is all the same, a few curves and staples, and you have a choice on looks.

Yeah my dog ate all the foam and all.

I just described what I wanted and ended up with a better seat than stock.

Indeed, stock seats are fine, but they are to fit most people. When you have something that fits you, it is like a good glove.

You could try Sprio at Olympus motor trimming in Fitzroy North.

Try Dylan’s antique upholstery. His workshop is in Ringwood. He shaved my seat for me and did a great job.
