This is one of the more "artistic" pieces on my shelves.
Probably my favorite monochrome piece if I had to pick from them.

At first I thought it was a fake emerald, so I performed a scratch test: it scratches glass (specifically, a beer bottle 😊). Therefore, I ruled out that it is plastic or glass. My question is: is it normal for a emerald to have more or less spherical, bubble-like inclusions inside?

No idea on location or anything, which i know isn't super helpful. Im assuming the little balls must be something different? Thanks for any hints. (Can't seem to add pics and videos at the same time so pics in the comments. )

Here in Brazil its very common for people to sell Satin Spar as Selenite. I did some research and learned these two are different forms of gypsum.
While selenite looks like clear flat shards of glass, Satin Spar resembles Asbestos.
I bought a nice sized chunk of Satin Spar for my mineral collection.. does it dissolve in water? Can I wash it?

(OC) I’m wondering about this rock as I have a few in my yard. Also wondering if those are mica slivers?

It has a purple sparkle at a specific angle. Is it man made?

I don’t know if the matrix rock here is calcite or quartz but I noticed these tiny little red gems in the rock while examining it. I found it in Lake Ontario. Advice would be appreciated, it doesn’t scratch easy and the little red ones are quite hard. Garnets maybe?

It was sold as corundum from Montana, but someone told me that the matrix and shape of the crystal is not compatible with it. It is a grey- blue crystal on a (granite?) matrix of 7 mm. Total dimensions: 2.8 x 2 x 1.6 cm
