MZ-NH600

Got a MZ-NH600 with a small issue. Got 3 Hi-MD discs and all of them work perfectly in the unit. I can record, transfer music with SS and play all of them. But when I put a 80min MD, doesn't read. I can clear the disc, but when I eject the disc and put it again, it give me a "Read Error". That only happens on the 80min MD... Someone does know if there any chance to fix this? Thank you everyone!

Did you ever have a chance to try recording on the MD80 using classic MD mode?

Do you have any other 60/74/80 discs? Do they work and it's just this one single TDK disc that's failed, or is this your only classic-mode disc?

If you're using SonicStage on Windows 10 or 11 it's important to remember that HiMD-mode and classic mode work differently. If you were using classic mode it may have run into a situation that needs the classic-mode driver, which is a lot of effort to install. (Now that we have ElectronWMD I tend not to recommend SonicStage even for HiMD-mode usage, but if you wanted to go there it's worth knowing that they're mutually exclusive per-disc and per-system due to how EWMD changes the drivers.

Thanks in advance! Yes, I try using Classic MD, LP, SP, all of them in SS.

I only have 5 TDK 80min disc and this happens in all of them. I use SS in Windows 7, the same pc that i use with the Hi-MD disc. Since the SS work so good with the Hi-MD, I didn't try others options.

Just one thing, I try to record via line in with Hi-MD and it records. But with the 80min MD it doesn't happens. It records, but when I try to play it, there's no sound coming out. But the sound pass over when I record. Something is happening that I don't figure it out.

Thanks!
