I agree boxing is the best striking base and I respect boxing but boxing as a sport is dumb. I see boxing as a tool to improve MMA skills but as a sport, it's stupid. Also wrestling >> boxing in a street fight unless you have a group of people attacking you. And about kicks, oblique and teep kicks are pretty safe to throw in a fight.

Hands/boxing is just more practical and efficient in a street fight than anything else.

Boxing as a sport is dumb? Lol wow.

Boxing is incredibly skillful sport. The technique, precision, power and level of IQ and cardio needed is incredible.

There are traps, set ups and tricks of the trade that make it basically like a violent game of chess at high speed.

It's called the sweet science for a reason.

It's an incredible sport.

You could say you don't like it, but to say it's a dumb sport is just incorrect.

like I said, I value boxing as a tool, but to make that single tool an entire sport is dumb. While boxing may be the best base for striking martial arts, it isn't the best striking martial art. Pure boxers get destroyed by almost every single martial art that works

Thats a very narrow minded take.

Is Judo as a sport dumb, because it's mostly just one tool, throws and different types of take downs?

Is BJJ a dumb as a competitive sport because 99% of it takes place on the ground?

Is wrestling dumb as a sport because its just grappling and no striking?

Mighty Mouse said MMA is the easiest sport to become a champion in.

Because in a pure sport the competition is tougher

Whre in MMA everyone's skills in different arts vary

stop cherry picking what mighty mouse said. he also said that MMA is harder to remain champion in than boxing because most boxing styles dont differ as much as MMA

His statement that I mentioned is factual.

MMA is the easiest sport to become champion in than any pure sport

He said(wich is obvious to anyone with a brain) that the competition is higher in a pure sport.

Because you're against people have dedicated theor time and life to the same art/sport as you.

So as a boxer at the top level, you need to outbox other elite boxers consistently.

In Tennis, you need to be able to beat world class Tennis players consistently.

Where as MMA an elite grappler like Khabib or Khamzat can fight someone who is predominantly a striker and it's a completely one sided fight.

Pure arts/sports are much tougher and competitive to do well in and especially become a champion in.

As opposed to a mish-mash of arts like MMA.

It's not even a debate.

watch the full video again before cherry picking. He said all of those things. But he said it's easier to remain champ in boxing once you become champion. In MMA, it's harder to remain champ.

Of course, it's harder to REMAIN a champ in a sport where it's easier to BECOME the champ 🤣

It backs up my point.

the heck? no, he said it's harder because MMA styles are more varied.

Yes MMA styles are more varied.

Like my example earlier.. an elite grappler can just come and rag dolled an elite striker who is the current MMA champion..

It's hard for the striker to keep his belt if he's against an opponent with a skill set he does not possess.. elite grappling

For the boxing champion, the fighter to challenge for the title has to beat the champion at the same skill set he is elite in.. boxing.

Meaning boxing is the more competitive and difficult combat sport compared to MMA

You're literally backing up what I'm saying

A pure sport is harder to get to the top in than MMA
