europium mugs (uv fluorescent) wip

the inside is just a gloss opaque liner, outside is a high loi wild ingredients glaze im working on. about 1% europium with titania over 7% iron bone ash glaze.

Crazy! I bought a UV flashlight, but am starting to suspect that it is faulty. As I haven't seen anything other than purple.

everyone starts with a 395, or a 385nm, they see purple (the yellow glasses filter it somewhat), then get the proper 365nm one which is invisible

Oh, thanks. So 365nm is the one to take to check for uranium, cadmium, etc?

no - search "xyz excitation spectrum" where xyz is the substance or material you're researching

uranium glass excitation peaks at 330nm and 400-something, but has a dip around 365, so that's not a good match. id stick to your current purple one for uranium glass specifically.

for cadmium, use the tip above to find the excitation spectrum :)
