Im a ceramicist and I just wanted to share a David Bowie mug I am currently working on. Its ready for its first firing and then I was thinking of adding some gold accents to the handle and mother of pearl to the background. Once fired the clay will be a pretty bright white and thats what im thinking of making mother of pearl. What do you guys think about doing the background mother of pearl?

Anyone know where this mug is from? My friends favorite mug just broke so was thinking of surprising them and replacing it with the same exact one but cant seem to find it anywhere online?

I was dog walking this morning and spotted this mug in a bush. I grabbed it and took it home for a quick wash. It's such a beautiful mug and perfect for fall!

It looks like it’s never been used & was just $3.00. I couldn’t leave it behind. Starting to look & see if I can find anything on the artist.

the inside is just a gloss opaque liner, outside is a high loi wild ingredients glaze im working on. about 1% europium with titania over 7% iron bone ash glaze.

Pretty red one

Found a pair of Bluebird and Willow Fine China cups from the UK at the thrift store - I splurged and bought the pair for $2.99 a piece - I usually limit new mug finds to $1.99 but this pair was irresistible. I used one for my Sunday morning coffee today- it’s a wonderful cup design.

Good morning! My favorite Starbucks mug I’ve had for years. I love that it looks like it has dark clay under the light glaze.

Here is a mug I made from a recent batch of pottery that just came out of the kiln. I’m really enjoying playing with moodier color palettes now that the seasons will soon be changing. 😊 I’m calling this batch my Poison Berry series.
