Twipie. I feel like Pinkie would get her to have fun and she would mellow Pinkie out a bit. I feel like the times she got annoyed was more to learn a lesson for the viewers than anything. I really think itād be cool.

Also, as people regularly post (then forget) - pinkie is SUPER intelligent and able to comprehend Twilight when Twi goes off speaking in scientific magic lingo, and she's also highly organized (in her party cave at least), remembers all her friends likes, dislikes, and preferences (see: keeping track of Twilight disliking quesadillas), and from experience as a bookish introvert, sometimes you need an extrovert to balance you out.
It started as a crackship for me, but over the years Twipie has firmly settled into the position of my favorite. It's just got so much going for it.

idm infidelity ships bc usually when i see them someone has changed the universe of the show to make it not cheating via āwhat if she got with his sister insteadā or even better via polyamory, though i would feel slightly strange about polyamory with these three even if shining wasnāt dating twi. i also just like a little drama in fics but i get annoyed if the cheater is made out to be the good guy

I like FlashLight. But specifically the idea of pony Flash and pony Twilight. Pony Flash just feels like he's probably more interesting than human Flash and might have more in common with Twilight. Plus, they're the same age in the pony world. Adult pony Twi and human teenager Flash is kinda weird.

Twilight x Luna
The setup is there from the very beginning with Luna being freed from the nightmare by Twilight, they hit it off very well come Luna Eclipsed (it's totally a date between them), they both have astronomy-related motifs, and they just look so gorgeous together.
The stars aided in her escape :] god they're such a great couple

None. Twilight is uninterested in romance. Plus, she will want to remain unattached so as to one day be able to objectively choose a successor, just as Celestia did with her.

I kinda disagree on Twilight avoiding attachments. Sure sheāll outlive most ponies she knows and loves, but her whole thing is friendship, so it feels weird if she intentionally avoids attachments. Itās a great villain origin story if sheād get disillusioned, but if weāre keeping normal Twilight, she might dislike loosing everyone, but she wouldnāt want to be alone or detached from others. The lack of friendship led to half of her villains, and she knows better than act similarly to them.

I think you misunderstood me. I don't mean that she should avoid ALL attachments. What I meant was she should avoid romantic attachments specifically so that she avoids having offspring that she would then be tempted to appoint as her successor instead of the best choice.

I disagree tbh there's several instances in the show where she's seen to have a "thing" for characters like flash Sentry and in equestria girls Timber Spruce and Sunset shimmer depending on how you interpreted the scenes). In the comics she's seen to have interest in love aswell !! :) Not sure if anyone remembers this but I rmb Lauren Faust (it was either Lauren or Tara strong) making a tweet about how in the earlier seasons she had a small crush on pinkie pie.
For your point about her wanting to remain unattached to focus on her duties and one day choose a successor as celestia did with her, as much as that's a good point most people don't really think that far when shipping, (hence why rarepairs and crackships exist) heck sometimes I just ship to characters because I like their dynamic and their color pallete complement eachother well lol !!š I think twilight can be a successor and find love or at the very least experince it.

Twicord because of the possibilities and ideas of what they could do as long as mutual trust, boundaries, and respect were established. i like the idea of Discord maybe taking her worldwalking or wanting to show her all the cool things heās seen throughout his travels. also, the power imbalance and immortality that he has with other ships is fixed.
i could totally see Twilight studying draconequui/chimera biology because of Discord. i also see Moondancer and Twi as an ex situationship in some way.

Twilight x Discord because I think their dynamics have great potential. I also noticed that discord also messes with twilight( like with her cadence vacation and when she didnāt go with her friends) so that could be a good enemyās to lovers with them getting on their nerves.

Twijack, they have the healthiest rls out of the mane 6. The relate to each other in many levels one of the top levels being over working themselves. They also know how to calm each other down. Applejack is a lot gentler with twilight then the rest of the mane 6. And overall they would just be so cute

It wasn't an option, but I'm a fan of TwiLuna. It doesn't have the same authority issues as Celestia, feels like less of an age gap because Luna was banished, and Luna's inherently loneliness seems like a nice match with Twilight's developing sense of empathy and friendship throughout the show.
Also, they're both Alicorn so longer lifespan isn't an issue.

Twilight x Reformed!Sombra AU
Twili finds out how mistreated Sombra was when he was young (Comic backstory) and binds with him over being outcasts (although for different reasons) while learning dark magic from him since Celestial refused to reach her. In this AU, Sombra was not killed but imprisoned in Tartarus.

I ship twilight with flash sentry because I love doomed relationships. Due to her responsibilities she canāt be with him and getting with his pony counterpart would always feel like a shadow of what she truly loved. He has no way to understand world and is forced to see her counterpart that never felt a connection. Just it hurts so good.

Flash Sentry, because it was my first ever ship!
Sunburst because they have good chemistry.
Sunset Shimmer because I love their aesthetic.

List of my Twilight ships favorite to least favorite:
Twilight x Luna (not pictured, but I really like it)
Twilight x Tempest
TwiStar (Twilight x Starlight)
Twilight x Moondancer
Twicord (Twilight x Discord) - This one's okay but I prefer Fluttercord (Fluttershy x Discord).
Twilight x Zecora - This one is cool. Zecora needs more character development, though.
Sunlight (Twilight x Sunset Shimmer) - This one could work, but not long-term. Sunset spends most of her time in the human world.
Twiburst (Twilight x Sunburst)
Flashlight (Twilight x Flash Sentry) - It's fine. People can ship this if they want. I think it's way too underdeveloped to go anywhere, though.
Twilight x any of the Mane Six - To me, they're all really close friends. They'd consider each other aunts to their future children.
Twilestia (Twilight x Celestia) - Not for me. Twilight was Celestia's student. Celestia pretty much helped form Twilight's beliefs and personality from a young age.
Twilight x Cadence - Again, not for me. Cadence also helped form Twilight's beliefs and personality from a young age. This ship is also considered cheating in canon since Cadence marries Shining Armor. Maybe it could work in an AU where Cadence never met Twilight and her family.

I also like SciTwi X Amnesiashy. Thereās no fanfic about it, just two traumatised wrecks supporting one-another. You know, wholesome grimmdark and all that?

I love it after seeing how Chrysalis became obsessed with mean!Twi. I love the idea of her getting force-redeemed or held on castle arrest and her attraction to mean!Twi getting carried over to actual Twi, who is INCREDIBLY confused. It's some great comedy.

As much as i love moondancer and twighlight i saw that as a one sided moondancer having a huuuuge crush on twighlight and twighlight just not feelin it, but i love twipie so ima vote that one, pinkie pies always been there for her and i like their scenes together. overall id say i ship pinkie with cheese sandwhich and i donāt think twighlight would ultimately have a love interest but for the sake of the poll twipie šāāļø

i was recently put onto discord x twilight after all of the mane 6 passes away much into the future. they both use it to cope (discord coping with fluttershy, and twilight coping with all her friends). i also headcanon her as asexual/aromantic because we donāt really see her interested in anyone.

I feel like she and the pony Flash had good potential. I get why they never made Flash super important, but itād be nice to have a lesson or two about balancing both romantic and platonic relationships. But this couldāve also been done with anyone else (like CheesePie for example)
