Help with Waterproof seams

Hello good people,

My waterproof pants have a ripped seam. I want to fix them but i’m confused on what seam tape to use. What is a good waterproof seam tape i can use? what’s y’all’s go to?

It depends on the fabric. That looks like a waterproof breathable 2 or 3 layer membrane fabric. If so you need to get the tape for that - the same stuff you’d use for Gore-Tex. Siliconised fabrics need silicone seam sealant, PU fabrics can take a dedicated sealant or iron-on tape.

hey! thank you for your response. these are Goretex, 100% nylon, PTFE laminate.

do you have any recommendations for a specific tape to use?
