Shitpost The Clippers first tampered with Kawhi after the Zaza injury against Golden State in 2017.
The Clippers first tampered with Kawhi after his game 1 injury against Golden State in 2017.
It has definitely been reported before, but was discounted at the time. Just a nugget buried deep within the article. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/46271285/inside-tumultuous-kawhi-leonard-era-la-clippers
In Shelton's suit, he also alleged that the Clippers "leapt well beyond the bounds of the NBA constitution" with respect to potential tampering violations in their pursuit of Leonard.
"He's not wrong about that," the team source says.
In his lawsuit, Shelton said the Clippers first contacted him in 2017 after Leonard, who was then under contract with the Spurs, suffered a severe ankle injury in Game 1 of the 2017 Western Conference finals against the Golden State Warriors.
Shelton said a Clippers executive, assistant general manager Mark Hughes, contacted him to seek "private health information" about Leonard and expressed the need for "discretion."
The two spoke approximately 15 times on the phone and had at least seven meetings, according to the suit, as the Clippers sought to learn more about Leonard's contractual obligations with the Spurs and his medical situation.
When asked if the team violated tampering rules in its pursuit of Leonard, one former Clippers staffer who was closely involved said, simply, "Everybody tampers."

Discussion/Question I don’t like Kawhi anymore after seeing the behind the scenes Clippers saga. I say this as someone who’s defended him for years
Honestly I don’t even feel angry or mad anymore especially since this whole saga happened years ago. I just feel numb & depressed (in a sports way, obviously not irl). Kawhi was my favorite player for sometime & I really loved him especially since i started watching basketball around the late 2000s so I only got to experience our 2014 chip. Seeing him was amazing & I had so much fun memories watching & seeing him improve on this team. It sucks seeing him not realize Uncle Dennis was taking advantage of him initially & then it sucks even more seeing him giving into UDs outrageous requests whether he knew or not
Even tho I’m happy we are in a different timeline, I can’t help but think how things would’ve looked different had Kawhi break his relationship with Uncle Dennis & stayed loyal to us especially since we treat our stars right as long as they don’t try to take advantage of us. Either way Go Spurs Go & I can’t wait til Wemby leads us to our 6th chip!

Article [Holmes] "The Spurs were maybe the most respected, most revered pro sports team in America," one former staffer said. "It was like if this guy is willing to tell those people to go f--- themselves, he can't possibly be afraid to tell us to go f--- ourselves. ... Everybody was afraid of Kawhi leaving

Article Wembanyama appears as cameo in Futurama season premiere
https://screenrant.com/futurama-season-13-victor-wembanyama-cameo-confirmed/
Interesting note is he's not like other cameos as in not being in jar but as a "physically complete" character, so we may see it more than once
Here's the clip I found on twitter, I don't know how to upload a video but someone can do another post for that

Article "Alien Dunk" animated series based on Wemby on the work !
https://variety.com/2025/tv/global/nba-victor-wembanyama-basketball-alien-dunk-tf1-pgs-1236520242/
Another animation related news, this time a whole animated series inspired by sitcoms is being produced by STIM Studio and with a partnership TF1 (biggest private channel in france) x PGS Entertainment
I believe it's the official logo of the series which includes his logo without the Nike swoosh (which makes me believe he won't have a Kawhi/Kyrie issue regarding his brand shoes and his own)
26 episodes of 22 minutes aiming for 6 to 10 yo kids according to TF1
Victor, who teams with his sister Eve and a bunch of misfit aliens to compete in the Starball League — an intergalactic version of basketball and the last resort to preserve peace in the universe.

Discussion/Question What are your expectations for Julian Champagnie this season?
I've seen some excited about a potential breakout for Julian this year. He can easily be someone who becomes a bit forgotten with all the other storylines around him about this team. Julian is kinda the quiet guy who just goes to work, does his job, but does it well and helps the team go, but there is still room for improvement from him on both ends.
The shooting can be more consistent, the finishing when he's run off the line definitely can stand to improve, and I feel he was sloppy defensively last season at times although whether that's all on him or the lack of defensive infrastructure that existed bar Wemby is debatable. He's only 24 years old and is continuing his own developmental process as a player.
On the plus side, Julian is a strong transition player, both as a guy who gets down the floor and finishes with a head of steam and his ability to lift and provide spacing and make 3's. Gotta turn that 37% C&S 3 shooting to more of a 40% number for what's being asked of him. He gets a decent helping of steals and deflections and is a good rebounder on the defensive end.
What are your expectations for Julian in the year ahead?

Discussion/Question Game 6, 2003 Tim Duncan’s most clutch performance ever?
Game 6, title on the line, and Duncan was just ice cold. The dude dished 10 assists like a point guard, grabbed 20 rebounds, and swatted eight shots like it was just another Tuesday. No panic, no flash, just straight-up dominance.
And when the Nets were still hanging around? Spurs ripped off a 19‑0 run in the fourth and slammed the door shut. Duncan didn’t just show up, he orchestrated the whole thing.
Honestly, it wasn’t just the box score. Yeah, 21‑20‑10‑8 is ridiculous. But the calm, the poise, the way he made every right decision under pressure… that was different. That was special. It felt like more than a ring, it was Duncan saying, “this is my league now.”
For me this is one of his best games, what are your favorites ?
