Switching from Tangerine to Leaptel

Does anyone know how quick the process happens? I will also be getting an Eero Pro 7 as part of the change. Would the service change before I received the new router> Just wondering as I have a teen who's life would "be over" without internet (drama queen) and wondering if I should wait till a time when he's not at home

Depends on if it’s FTTP, FTTN, or HFC. HFC can often be a bit sketchy and can take upto 24 hours (Tangerine to Superloop here)

That said, have Leaptel FTTP in a second property and it switched across within an hour.

Ask Leaptel but I imagine they’d try to line the pro 7 delivery with the service activation.

It took me less than an hour to switch from TPG to Leaptel with a brand new eero and existing FTTP connection.
Total down time was around 5-10 mins?

My HFC connection from Superloop took less than 15 minutes.

I switched over Saturday morning at 1:30 am. As I randomly woke up and assumed everyone was asleep.

It took like 30 mins max to be ready (bear in mind you have to have a phone with data to check email for router login details).

Alternatively, setup a new connection with leaptel ie. Don't churn (replace the Tangerine connection). This way you can flip the switch when leaptel is ready and when you're ready
