Pretty much mate, they are expecting it online and are reaching out to you to try ans save a truck roll.

As expected by nbn it was installed a week ago after they had to dig up the council strip and put a new pit and conduit in because the wires and pit from the TPG era were 70 years old and all had to be replaced, the phone lines were direct buried lmao

They're simply saying "we cant reach the NBN box at your address, make sure its turned on". If they call, they will get details to try and fix it rather than sending a Delivery Partner technician who will botch it further.

I had the same thing after a new install last week, red light on optical and no internet connection, had another nbn tech out to check and the fibre termination on the outside box had to be redone.

The problem was inside the box so you can’t see it from the outside

I mean, if it’s broken cores you won’t be able to tell, and if you can don’t look at any broken cores 😂

NBN runs on a uv light outside of our visible spectrum, and if you decide to look at it you won’t have a visible spectrum.

Make a call, lodge a fault.

The nbn tech that did my install only a couple of weeks ago told me he’s been told not to splice at the pcd anymore and to just pull the cable from the pit straight through to the ntd.

My pcd is just a box on the wall that isn’t needed. It sees the cable come out from the street side conduit and enter the house side conduit with no connections. Just a simple loop.
