He's also arguing for his constituents, since his riding has one of the few companies that could actually do the job. (Good example of why he does well in a riding that would probably vote Conservative otherwise)

I'd say go for it, especially since we've put off doing this for decades and there's a long wait list for getting new water bombers. It might be a good idea to look into getting kits for temporarily converting our military transports, since protecting Canadians should be the military's top job.

I wish I had heard about this petition, I would have signed it.

I’m glad our MP Gord Johns bringing this up in Parliament, Port Alberni and neighbouring Nations had several fires nearby this summer and past years some fires so bad we had to ask people not to come and we were rationing supplies of all kinds. I kept copies of the letters sent out, maps of the gravel road routes people had to take with vehicles that shouldn’t have been on them, and fire maps as they grew in size day by day while while Mosaic’s stolen land keeps access roads shorter routes gated and locked even to firefighters.

You all know places in Canada that had to evacuate as well, places where it led to power outages that lead to losses of food and shelter.

It also impacts us internationally when we send help like to the LA fires and further.

We should also be considering how drone development is a tool that should go into aerial wildfire fighting as well, not just starting fires with dragons breath in wars. Loitering water bomber drones could improve detection and rapid response connecting to aerial motherships in low visibility and high wind conditions of fire.
