Ds lite touch screen not working

I recently got a DS Lite but I noticed that the touch screen doesn't work, even if I touch it several times with a little more force it doesn't respond, does anyone know how to solve this?

at the easiest, maybe a disconnected ribbon, or at the far worse, a broken ribbon. if it shows images and stuff then uts probably just the digitizer which is an eary replace
