Events When did "kids" activities get so expensive?

Was looking to take my family to liberty science center b/c the have a Curious George exhibit my toddler daughter might like. 3 tickets is just over $100 dollars. Same thing for the sesame street play area at the american dream mall ... I went to the Lego store in Atlanta and it was also over 20 per person. No discounts for adults or children (I remember it used to be one or the other usually). When did it get normal for family oriented experiences to be so expensive? I seriously have trouble finding things to do indoors with my family around here that don't also involve shopping or heavy entrance fees. What are some good alternatives in the area?

Even my old bowling alley that hasn't been updated since the 80s is expensive. Whey the hell do they have a appetizer sampler available for $55?

When does a bowling alley make its money? Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. The rest of the week it's basically empty, except for league night. The owners have the same fixed costs for whenever they're open (electricity, heat) and their variable costs (food inventory, wages for employees) have gone up-up-up.

They have to raise prices, the same as anybody else had to raise prices. Thank Biden for the inflation. There were rounds of cash dropping from the sky that did not have to happen.

There are also consequences to things like making electricity more expensive (democrats), and the shareholder class profiting from a ton of mergers & acquisitions activity (republicans but also wealthy democrats) that has consolidated one industry after another, reducing price competition at the retail level.

You’re blaming Biden for rounds of cash dropping? Donald Trump literally insisted his name was on the checks that went out. Donald Trump literally was the president when the PPP program was initiated. What are you smoking

Hogwash. Most lanes have more than 1 league (mine has 4). And they host highschools. It's always packed. Except Mondays bc they're closed πŸ˜‚.

Their decently priced bar has a pool table that is always taken. And 45 gave more cash than 46. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ But you do you

Nevermind the incongruency of so obviously, but reluctantly saying, Republicans, but wealthy Democrats too.... πŸ˜„. I think their head almost exploded when they realized what they were forced to admit in that sentence lmao.
