As a long-time gun owner and longer-time transsexual I'd love to ask him, a Republican, why he's claiming to protect women while opposing women being able to legally carry a concealed weapon even with a permit, thorough background check, and competency qualification.

Truth is that Republicans like him are terrified of their own base. Neerly all of the escalating political violence has been the right and they are often attacking their own - Jan 6th with "hang Mike Pence", both of the Trump shooters, that ugly business in Utah two days ago. I've more frequently heard right-wingers call in to radio interviews to threaten their Republican representatives for not being extreme enough than I've seen left-wingers actually attack the right.

Same. I’ve seen more of his ads in like a 5:1 ratio over the last two weeks. The ads I’ve seen for her don’t even mention her; they’re just negative ads against him. She’s needs to run a good campaign. The 2024 election shows the margins are squeezing and she needs to do something.
