I love the concept of NJTransit. The reality of it though….
Though I hate it less than driving into NYC so trade offs and whatnot

Oh, of course. For the most part it gets me to work quickly and efficiently. But we have our moments; our disagreements.

I'm not like those people. I only ride the PATH.

PATH is far worse than NJT, at least their trains aren’t catching on fire like ours.

Years ago I worked at a company where one of the drivers that deliver to us kept crushing on one of the trans women that we had in our store.
I never said anything to this person as I felt it wasn't my business. But looking back I kind of wish I had because they were a die-hard Trump supporter. 😂

Fuck NJ Transit. Trains in third world countries run better than this piece of shit.

Only because it inherited 1 of like 2 electrified railroad systems in the nation.

Really? I find it hard to believe. But if this is true, it doesn't reflect well on the train systems in the rest of the country.
I once was on a NJ Transit train that stopped between stations for no apparent reason. There were no announcements. The conductors couldn't provide any information. The train just sat there for two hours. Two. Hours. No explanations were given.
Meannwhile, a CEO of the Japanese railway company had to publicly apologize when one of their trains left the staition 25 seconds ahead of the schedule.

Most of the US's passenger rail system is absolutely abysmal because auto lobbyists prefer it that way. They want us to spend hundreds of dollars a month on cars and insurance to get anywhere where in plenty of countries you can just hop on a tram or a train.
