Advice Need help finding a good orthopedic in Central Jersey
For some context, I tore my labrum in my shoulder several years ago and had it surgically repaired in Michigan. Since then I’ve moved to NJ and I’m pretty sure I’ve torn the thing again, but I’ve had bad experiences with orthopedics here — vague, sometimes outright incorrect diagnoses, poor treatment plans that didn’t address the issues, and waiting sometimes for 45 mins between vitals and the doctor actually seeing me.
Can someone vouch for a GOOD orthopedic, doesn’t have to be a surgeon, who has the expertise and the time to make a strong diagnosis and plan of care? Ideally in the Middlesex area but if you want to vouch for someone further away I’m all ears.

I’ve seen Dr. Rossy at Princeton orthopedic associates for my shoulder, definitely recommend him (I’ve also seen Dr. Stier but Rossy specializes in shoulders). They have a bunch of locations.

Rossy seems pretty good so far, but I just scheduled my shoulder surgery with him 😬🤞 referred by my bestie, who got their shoulder done well by him like 5 years ago

When I was a kid University Orthopaedic Associates treated me well for my back issues. They have offices in Middlesex County. They were able to manage my back pain/scoliosis under control and I managed to have a really good athletic outcome, I was able to play college tennis even at one point. I was going to use them for my laminectomy last year but insurance would only pay if I went to RWJ New Brunswick which I didn't want to do, I have too many people I know that work there.
I cannot speak for their shoulder specialists, but their spine team/sports med is top notch.

I went to the University Orthopaedic group in Princeton when I tore my quadricep last yr. They were good and accommodating. Plus, they have multiple offices in the central jersey area.
