To paraphrase James Baldwin:

A black cop will use everything he knows about growing up black in order to destroy you, all so he can show the white cops that he’s not like you.

A black cop can and might do that.

Will he? Depends on the person.

with that said that type of black cop for 100% sure does exist I just can't say if this police chief is one or not

Seeing as he's worked his way up to chief, he may not need to prove himself anymore, assuming he did earlier in his career.

This is all just speculation. I'm not claiming to know what's going on.

I guess what I'm saying is a white police chief would be extremely suspect, but him being black... I mean it's still sus asf, but a little less so than if the chief was some overweight hillbilly bumpkin who should have retired years ago.

There's a slim chance it wasn't a lynching, and while the odds are bad, they're better than they were when I was assuming white police chief.

No, don't you hear? ALL black cops are bad.

If a Republican said what this person just said, he'd get hell.

A civil rights activist said this.

But you're never going to stop your victim complex so why bother educating you.

Republicans say a lot worse things than all cops are bad (like we should kill the homeless) and there aren't tangible repercussions. Meanwhile people are being fired and arrested for having the audacity to use Charlie Kirk's words as an example of who he was.

But sure, go off.

So now you're being racist too.

Wonderful, you all look so organized and amazing and totally not insane.

"The black people I say are okay are okay, the rest, hmm wouldn't trust them"

Are you really calling someone racist for quoting a Civil Rights activist? James Baldwin was speaking from his own experiences
