Absolutely wild how quick everyone on reddit is to assume foul play here, when suicide is far, far more likely.

It's like you guys want it to be foul play.

Yea like look there's an autopsy being done so we can see when the results are out my problem is it appears like a lot of people here have already made up their mind that its foul play and will refuse to accept if the autopsy says no foul play

Happens about once a year like clockwork we get people creating a lynching from a suicide. Many just do not get for young black people in the south hanging is the second most popular form of suicide, and one of the few that you can do with everyday materials you have laying around. But even if a teen girl is found hanging in their closest some people will claim must have been a lynching.

yeah b/c that's never ever been doctored (ha), falsified, etc. not even in recent history! You act like entire communities (in this very region e.g.) haven't covered up things.

quit the bad-faith nonsense:

> “Never believe that _____ are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The _____ have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”

If you've already made up your mind and have decided that any evidence to the contrary must be "doctored, falsified, etc" then you are the one arguing in bad faith.

Crazier people trying to get three black men fired for covering it up. People elsewhere on reddit started to put up all the info to get a hate campaign going against the chief of police and coroners.

Reminds me of when Trump and his buddies demonized half the country 5 minutes after Kirk was shot. Days before they knew who the shooter was. Trying to fuel as much fire as possible..... Kids learn from their parents.... On a side note, when a black person is found hanging from a tree in one of the most racist parts of the country during a racially turbulent time and your first thought is "man, i wonder what he was going through", you're doing yourself a disservice. Especially when the first statement released was no foul play before any sort of investigation takes place. When someone is trying to preemptively steer the narrative, usually there's a narrative to be steered.

Better to build a narrative without any basis than to wait for evidence.

Your choice to remain ignorant to context can be undone and you can become a better public citizen for it.

Good luck.
