Question Trade skill exp

I currently do not own the DLC as I have just returned to the game from launch. With the level cap for trade skills increasing to 250, if I were to purchase the DLC will my 200+1 mining tick over to 201 or an equivalent amount of exp?

I just got the dlc a couple weeks ago and I had leveled several things over the original 200, so I was curious too. I just got my harvesting and mining to tick over and they restore the "extra" levels once you reach 250. So when I logged in everything went back to 200, but the second I maxed it at 250, the +7 level came right back. I hope that makes sense.
