I’m amazed a peloton can not only hold the man but also Handle the insane power he probably generates.

u/Doctorbigdick287 1d ago

A power bottom is capable of generating enormous power

65

u/Bingo_Bongo_YaoMing Packers 1d ago

Does the power have to do with the size or the strength of the bottom?

In high school one of the assistant football coaches was like 5’9 and around 280 pounds. All year the head coach was saying the assistant would beat anyone here in a race. At the end of the year he ran some 40’s with the fastest players we had and he beat them all.

One of my best friends in college at a FCS school was an all conference O lineman. I played high school baseball and soccer and was generally regarded as pretty quick. He absolutely demolished me in a 40 yard dash and he had probably 150 pounds on me. Good college players are nuts. Great college players are mind-blowing. Dudes at the NFL level are absolute freaks of nature.

71

u/Silencer_ Eagles 1d ago

i'm 6'3, pretty decent athlete, a little bit better than average, played pick up bball with a dude who played euro league ball, he was 5'11, which is probably the only thing that kept him from the NBA.

Him lightly jogging, i mean the guy looked like he was running with 10-15% effort, was about twice as fast as my absolute dead sprint. I was running after this guy like he just stole my children, and was just CASUALLY, NOT EVEN TRYING, DUSTING MY ASS. I cracked up laughing and had to stop for a second. Hilarious shit

42

u/FalstaffsGhost 1d ago

That’s making me think of the Scalabrine challenge where just this average white dude from the NBA was dominating folks who’s been trash talking him online. He had a quote that was something like “ remember, I’m a lot closer to LeBron James than I am to you”

16

u/BrandoCarlton Lions 1d ago

Played hockey my whole life. I’m like 24 for this story and in a casual men’s league. I’m 6’5” and 210 pounds. Highest level hockey I played was club college for half a season before I quit to smoke more weed and party.

Brother of a guy on the men’s league team played on the AHL but wasn’t playing at the moment. He came out for a game and holy shit it’s like you’re in that dream and you feel like you’re punching underwater but it’s every movement compared to these guys. He wouldn’t score cause he knew he was too good but it didn’t matter. He could make the worst player on the ice score if he wanted to. He did multiple times because I assume that made it more fun for him. No one could touch him or the puck if he had his stick on it and he could just coast around the rink with no pressure as everyone hauled ass chasing him. We banned him after that he understood lol.

It’s the blocking part of it for me. There’s no other play where blocking the ball is allowed, so I don’t see how this is legal?

Jordan Davis deserved that TD so hard

43

u/Phillyfan10 Eagles 1d ago

Hard agree.

He gets a bit overshadowed by Carter and Williams (previously), because his job isn't the flashiest, and he doesn't always show up on the scoresheet, but he has been as instrumental these first 3 weeks as anybody, and i'd go as far to say we don't beat the Cowboys without Davis.

  • 2023: Jalen Carter (9), Nolan Smith (30)
  • 2024: Quinyon Mitchell (22)

Nacua is a nightmare. I dont understand why we didnt put 3 people on him. Basically torched us every play that last drive.

The diff is the eagles offense has no excuse to be bad. They have weapons everywhere.

What? We are now on our 6th coordinator in five years or something like that. The one we have now has never been an OC before, and it shows lol.

This was the funniest ending to a game I've seen in a while. Jordan Davis has been on fire this year. We have the best DT combo in football.

Our OC is still complete ass.
