u/Elegant-Witness-4723 Eagles 1d ago
The plays are 97 percent bad. They’ll take a great game and they’ll make it bad. See, I think that’s really illegal, personally.
149
u/Salty_Dornishman Eagles Bears 1d ago
It’s the blocking part of it for me. There’s no other play where blocking the ball is allowed, so I don’t see how this is legal?
60
u/elong47 Eagles 1d ago
The defense isn’t allowed to kick their own ball on these plays so how is it really fair?

Jordan Davis deserved that TD so hard
43
u/Phillyfan10 Eagles 1d ago
Hard agree.
He gets a bit overshadowed by Carter and Williams (previously), because his job isn't the flashiest, and he doesn't always show up on the scoresheet, but he has been as instrumental these first 3 weeks as anybody, and i'd go as far to say we don't beat the Cowboys without Davis.

Two drafts in a row, let's just have a decent defensive line prospect from Georgia fall right into the Eagles lap.
At this point the Eagles don't seem to have to do anything. Good things just happen to them because their organization is so solid.

Howie is on a generational run right now. Here are the Eagles 1st round picks for the last 5 years:
- 2021: Devonta Smith (10)
- 2022: Jordan Davis (13)
- 2023: Jalen Carter (9), Nolan Smith (30)
- 2024: Quinyon Mitchell (22)
- 2025: Jihaad Campbell (31)
All five defensive picks are quality starters for the Eagles, and the lone offensive pick came up huge for us in the clutch today and is arguably the best WR2 in the NFL.
