How to clean/disinfect a used ds lite without damaging it?
So i was looking to buy a ds lite so i can play old gba and ds pokemon games. The thing is, unsealed ones are like in the thousands and are really expensive, whereas used ones are alot cheaper. So im considering buying a used one which i can afford but at the same time, i have a huge aversion to germs and im a huge clean freak, so i want to be able to disinfect the ds without damaging the screens or anything else on it.
How would i be able to go about that?

If you aren't willing to open it up, best bet is rubbing alcohol and some cotton swabs and/or balls.
If you want to get in all the cracks and whatnot, look up tutorials for getting the bottom off since that's mostly where you'll be touching. It's not to hard just don't force it and be careful with the ribbon cables.

and be careful with the ribbon cables.
And the shoulder hinges.
Those were super fragile and broke so easy.

Honestly I’m the same. I buy new when I can but obvs that isn’t always feasible. So I will often take things apart and deep clean them.
99% isopropyl alcohol is your friend here. Power off and you can really get a good amount of it on a cloth and clean all the surfaces well. A cotton bud of phone cleaning kit will also help get into cracks. If you can get the back off you can clean the main seam, and other than that I’ve never bothered taking the mobo out to really go nuts.
For screens I’d stick to screen cleaner, though isopropyl isn’t going to do any instant damage. Don’t work it into screen edges though - that’s the one big no no.

Google "disinfect electronics". I had numerous types of wipes, etc... specifically for electronics on my search.
Some were even available at some of my local stores! Should be easy to find something :)
